  2. Related Reddit Post: https://reddit.com/r/pokemmo/s/ScueXhYkUx I recently thought about how we're missing a radio for PokeMMO, and how it'd not only be really cool to have one but also useful. We could use it for swarms, legendary catches, tournament winners etc, as well as having entertaining radio shows. That said I went ahead and built a prototype. Basically, it uses GPT4's API (ChatGpt) and Text-To-Speech to first generate a radio script with multiple hosts, then read it aloud. I used a python script to do this, generating the script, parsing it, generating the audio for each line in a respective voice, then recombining it into a simple mp3 of radio banter. It chooses a random topic from a list, then passes it to hosts which then discuss it. Outside of the python script I also have a module that handles the actual music. I discuss all this at length in a post on Reddit, so I'll leave it at that. Let's call each Music+Banter portions "segments". Assuming music plays for 3 minutes, and Banter 1.5, (and let's say .25 dead air), each segment is about 4.75mins. This is about 13 an hour. Here's why this is relevant: while generating each script iteratively with GPT4s API may get expensive, if we simply had ~5000 pre-baked banter portions (generated by GPT4 online), that would allow for 16 days straight of fresh content. And then we could simply use the generative aspect for announcements/breaking news, which could also be premade to a degree. Most critically though, if we could properly standardize the process, we could simply have the player base generate these 5000+ segments (rather than mods), and it could essentially be added to a playlist with the music (and even ads). So in summary: - Have player base generate and submit funny, informative radio shows using ChatGPT or otherwise and Text-To-Speech programs -Use this Banter Bank in combination with fake ads and music to create a radio - Use this Radio to emphasize announcements like swarms, tournaments and other cool things, even sweepstakes What's needed? -Using the python script I made as an example, make it easy for players to generate banter -Create mechanism to alternate between music and banter playlist, and make available in game. Please check out the reddit post as I couldn't address everything here, but I think this would be a perfect addition with the introduction of Johto. I'm not an amazing programmer so I can't do it myself but I think this could definitely be great.   3. Two other ideas I've thought of related to this. First off this would enable something like exporting your pokemon to mainline games as .pkm files which is something I've been desperately trying to do, but simply haven't had access it the data. But wayyy more interesting is the gap in johto's release: where's the radio?? I have a great idea: between GPT4's API (fairly cheap), an API with news updates (legendaries caught, swarms, tournaments etc) and a Text to speech module like Bark or Tortoise (or even Eleven labs) we could have our own pokemon radio show that players could turn on or off. I'd think the main hosts would be Oak and Mary, and they could just typically chat about pokemon trivia, and strategy. Lastly with Meta's AudioCraft you could even make little ads+jingles between songs (route music?) for different things like the Battle Frontier or pokeballs or whatever. I think it's really doable and would really be a great addition.

    Quick Wishlist

    I want to be able to remove the UI only partially. Right it completely removes the functionality of the game. Specifically hiding maybe my team, hotbar, chat and usernames but keeping battle dialogues, rpg dialogues and any other essentials, like a map.
  5. Bring in the Johto leaders instead of the ones we can rebattle. I was disappointed to see it empty and this would make sense and be interesting. You could use HGSS sprites and PWT teamsets or w/e. Regardless it’d be worth it
  6. For instance, if two guys are linked, wild fights and trainer fights are now double etc.

  9. If we could remove avatar tags from the display I feel it'd improve the immersion of the game a lot.

A zone where we could fight a variety of high leveled, preferably rarely seen, fully evolved pokemon, along with No-Rejection dueling (As long as their highest lvlled pokemon is near yours) would be amazing. It'd be fun post-game content, as well as provide a sense of risk and adventure. It'd also let PVPers have more in-game fun rather than feeling limited to metagameplay. For those familiar, I think the best comparison would be Runescape wilderness. Camping entrances to these zones may have to be avoided in some way but this could probably dealt with. Gangs of trainers may be an issue, but similar to Runescape, I feel avoiding these gangs would be part of it.
