Yea the wisdom teeth were used as more chewing power because of the types of food that was eaten back then such as leaves, roots, bark and corse meats. Nowadays foods are much softer thus not requiring them to be used. They have become vestigal, much like the tailbone.The human jaw has also shrunken and become more compact over this time which is why they tend to become impacted and cause many problems. This is not the case for everyone though as some people get no wisdom teeth at all, but if unlucky there is a possibility to have more than four wisdom teeth come in and have to be removed. Well morty good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery .

Graduating Senior as well this year. Have gotten into Bentley, Umass Amherst, Northeastern, Bryant, Uconn and Stetson. Been waitlisted by BU, Babson and Holy Cross. Applied to all the business programs in those schools but haven't really narrowed one actual major down. Ill see what happens in my first year or two before deciding probably.
