I'm currently sitting in the library of my university avoiding my responsibilities by browsing this site, so I have a question for you all to distract me until I find any sliver of motivation to study: Why do you Pokemon? Not PokeMMO but just Pokemon in general. Some of you might be asking "who is this feg and why is he asking a stupid pleb question like this" This feg wants to know why all of you play this game. Other kids play CoD, some played Mario while others played other shit. My question is what draws you to the Pokemon franchise? Is it the RPG style, the memories attached to it? Or maybe you just love mauling small pidgy's with hyperbeams. I want to know what brings us all to this great game. Ill start: I Pokemon for a few reasons: 1. This was probably the first video game I ever played and have some sentimental value attached to it. I first played Pokemon Blue version when I was about 5 or 6 and just fell in love with that big red dragon we all love Charizard. Of course back then I couldn't read very well so I kinda just kept clicking A until whatever I was battling died. Solid plan until I faced the elite 4 and all I had was a level 100 Charizard and like 2 level 10's. Anyway, it was the adventure and raising something as my own to conquer something. 2. I kinda touched on this in #1 but I've always loved the methodical process of training a team like a family and growing them into basically the guys you beat the crap out of other guys with. Also loved that every time I played, my team would be different and my play style would be different. The task oriented style of these games, the way you set little goals along the way to finally beat the E4 is just the best. 3. For some reason I always love the simplistic style of the stories associated with these games. From Red and Blue to Black and White (I didnt like X and Y all that much), the story was fun and never really went stale. So help me procrastinate by telling me, why do you Pokemon?

Basically the community that I used to log on for and be a part of fell apart. The OG VVVV family disbanded and nothing was the same ever again. Having an invested interest in team tournaments, having rivals (RIP TheBloo), and just feeling a part of something kinda just left, and I think it was caused by the grind. Everyone got so rythmically absorbed in the process of breeding and grinding money that they stopped participating in the community. I miss OldMMO
