  1. I don't understand the argument that by having confusion allowed creates less diversity in the current meta? Currently the meta is a Curse/Stall only meta with little to no diversity. Really the only other kind of pokemon I see is one based off Paralysis, or Confusion. Take any of those out of the meta will only revert to a Curse/Stall only meta, Snorlax becomes Uber, and Miltank becomes OU. Then what's stopping the move attract? Are we then going to ban that too cause it's a move based off RNG? Also in the argument against RNG, no one is speaking about Critical's, miss chance, and chance abilities. Remove those from the game cause "I can't have RNG in Pokemon" what are we left with? These are litterally just honest questions to be considered. All I have been seeing is people saying "I lost cause of the RNG from Confusion, ban it please", and the only viable argument is that it's RNG based, and people want the game to have more skill. The problem with that is the biggest argument, is how much are we going to take from the game till it's not Pokemon anymore? Will this just become a monster battle game, that you could be playing instead - off facebook?
  2. Doesn't daycare just teach moves to Move Slot 1 anyways? Why not just move any eggmoves you want to keep down to Move Slot 3-4 and then leave the pokemon in the daycare? How many Pokemon do you breed with 4 egg moves?
  3. I lighten the experience with joining catching events in between grinding. They happen often enough to keep me satisfied.

    Great Job

I agree. You're all also pretty.
  5. Figured I would ask. Do you find it's cheaper to buy pokemon for breeding, or do you catch pokemon for breeding?
  6. The mager difference here is that your players don't know when that interval is, and your players don't know of the "small influence" that same species, OT, and anything else they added (I was told that the encounter rate also is considered in how long it takes to have a chance at an egg). If all of these facts were player knowledge then a player could do something else for the time it takes to get a chance to get an egg. Then check back with the old man, before continuing to just do something else. For example. I just put two pokemon on, know that I don't have a chance for an egg till 2 minutes after calculating it on the current formula, so I go fish magikarps till the egg has a chance to spawn. Go back check with the man, get an egg = great, don't get an egg, go back to fishing for two minutes. Much better then just standing there going "I wonder when I will possibly get an egg" a, a, a, a, a, a, a. 5-10 minutes later a, a, a, a, a, a.
  7. I am tired of standing infront of this man spamming his chat line till I get an Egg. There is a forumla to knowing when he spawns an egg, why do players not have this to optimize their gameplay? This is supposed to be an mmo, not me going afk watching shows, and then clicking to talk to this old guy every 1-2 minutes. I had planned to test to see what the Breeding Rate is in Pokemmo, but after asking staff about what contributes into what determines the time it takes before you get a chance to spawn an egg there seems to be a lot more then just OT, and Species. Even if you just tell us a full list of what contributes to the timer then we can do the testing ourselves and make a guide on it.
  8. Twave litterally cut's your speed, and stops you from attacking, and you can't cure it by switching out. Confuse ray can only stop you from attacking dealing damage to yourself, and gets cured when you switch out. Giving it a 50% chance rather then a 25% chance sounds like a compensation for the fact you can just cure it by switching out. Which is a huge bonus. If the pokemon confuses you again, switch again. Easy peasy. Sooner or later he will run out of pp if his only goal is to keep confusing you or give up.
  9. I don't understand where you're going with this? Confusion is a status ailment that is less effective then almost any other status ailment in the game. Paralyze can win or you lose you the game. Freeze will most likely make you lose the game. Sleep can win or lose you the game. Flinch can win or lose you the game. That's the whole point of RNG. The competitive side with it is to plan for it, and then take the proper cautions to counter it. You already stated that seeing this status ailment is not common, and with it being to cure with a single switch compared to other more dangerous status ailments this doesn't even need to be discussed. You have no grounds for your case. Nothing at all, other then just "i dont liek dis, plz ban".
  10. "Thunder Wave paralyzes the target. Thunder Wave cannot affect Ground-type Pokémon or targets that already have a non-volatile status condition." "a paralyzed Pokémon runs a 25% risk of losing their turn due to full paralysis. In addition, the afflicted Pokémon's Speed decreases to 25%" "The confused condition causes a Pokémon to hurt itself in its confusion 50% of the time. The damage is done as if the Pokémon attacked itself with a 40-power typeless physical attack (without the possibility of a critical hit). Confusion wears off after 1-4 attacking turns." Interesting. Looking at the facts. Confusion is a status ailment that only harms you for a limited amount of time, with a higher chance of it occuring in that short span of time. Can also be cured by switching out your pokemon. Paralyzing is an ailment that stays till you decide to heal it by other means, reduces your speed indeffiently till you decide to switch your pokemon, and runs the chance of you missing your attack phase 25% of the time. Not being able to cure it by switching out. Deffiently. Confusing a pokemon is MUCH more dangerous then paralyzing one. So you admit to not having full knowledge of the ability your arguing against, and your reasoning is cause it defeated you in a small amount of matches that you had the libraty of encountering it. The game has RNG. It's pokemon most of the whole game is based off RNG, christ every attack that has damage has a chance to critical. If you are looking for a competive game without RNG then don't play Pokemon. With your logic then at the same time we would have to ban everything that has to do with Critical, Sleep, Paralyze, Freeze, Flinch, Abilities that have a chance to go off (I.E Static/Effect Spore), any move with random effects like Metronome, or Present. Your logic is completely flawed based on the game your trying to make your argument on.
  11. Right let's create a confusion clause for comp, cause it's based off a RNG. While were at it we should create a clause for Paralyze, Freeze, and any pokemon that can leave a chance to cause a status effect when inflicted with damage. We need to also remove the crit chance from the game, and ban any moves that has to do with critical chance. Also we need to ban any move that has a chance to make the foe flinch, as well as ban the move metronome, and present. Need I go on, or did I make my point on how stupid the whole point of this thread is? If you don't want a competitive game with some RNG, then go play a different game. This is Pokemon, or did you forget what game you're playing?
  12. You could fit the block right abouve the go back button, below the weight; [Abilities] [Damp] [Water Absorb] Yeah. Here "Bestfriends" would like credit on his thread.
  13. You gain exp from any money making method, and elite four regardless. The fact of the matter is you want to give one gym leader the payout of an npc with 5-6 level 50 pokemon. That's terrible mathmatics. The reason why you can get 100k from Hoenn Leaders is cause to give an exact amount would be too much for the amout of work you do. You get 100k from battling not even 20 npcs with VS seeker. Litterally 100k for all 8 gym leaders is the least amount of money it could be reduced to. If giving the economy the other free 100k with another gym run is too much then Kanto Gym re-challenges will not happen.
  14. I can battle a NPC trainer again for 5k. If i'm not making at least 100k from battling 8 gyms of 6 level 80 poke's each. Then it's not worth the effort.
  15. Your picutre reminds of Imakuni http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/thumb/c/c3/ImakuniCoroCoroPromo.jpg/200px-ImakuniCoroCoroPromo.jpg
  16. I wonder if Synchronize is even useful in these kinds of catching events where your required to catch them in a specific location.
  17. I think it should be added to the guide an ideal Gym battling Pokemon. I use two Level 100 Flygon's Gymgon (Flygon) (M) @ amuletcoin Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Earthquake - Thunder Punch - Crunch - Superpower
  18. Not sure if this is the right thread for this item, but where is the Life Ball?
  19. So no one knows how long it takes to create an egg? Or how it works?
  20. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pokémon_breeding#Breeding_rate Since they changed it from steps to a timer. What is the time in Pokemmo? How can I calculate when an egg will spawn?
