i think making it an option is the best option besides removing it entirely as far as work for the developers goes

1.selling 2.sell you dont have to say those things to advertise something

or how bout an option for individual players to enable or disable the filter for their own preference and those messages would be filtered out for them alone

how is it a mess and how would it? you cant even say sell or anything. example:" there are alot of shiny basculin and shiny garbodor on the market. i wouldnt even be excited if i caught since it prolly wont sell." got blocked by that filter and thats just one time a message got blocked. its really annoying and global isnt a mess at all if u filter out other languages

the trade filter in global chat is really annoying. For one the trade channel is way too spammy to ask trade questions in. 2. Its easy enough to get around it. 3. people would report people spamming advertisements. 4. it gets in the way of conversation and is entirely unneccessary. UPVOTE UPVOTE
