As a new player (just finished all 3 regions yesterday), even half of his calculated earnings sounds great for the amount of effort. The bigger issue is the initial investment. It will take a bit of time to build up from my ~160k to the $600k investment required. I've been afraid to do anything with berries because of all the posts/comments about berries being "not profitable" anymore and I'm worried the prices are still unstable. Expecting someone to invest their life savings into an unstable market is a big ask. But regardless I plan on giving this a try on a smaller scale. So thanks for the tip, axx!

Soak it is! I was thinking ATK + Speed would be most important. But I guess HP will make it last a lot longer which could definitely be useful.... Do you find that even without any focus on speed you go before other mons more often than not? Taunt I guess could be a better replacement for mean look? And I assume Sweet Scent is just for ev training via hordes?

Ha, well that would explain a lot ;). I think I'll stick with soak then. Ok seems like I'll leave my last slot open for now then and fill it in later when I decide what I want. Maybe sweet scent or thief/covet... will have to decide later. Ah, didn't realize it was that easy to counter, makes sense now. Thanks to both of you for your input!

Awesome thanks. So rather than re-teaching it via a trainer, I should just level it up. Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer foresight over soak? Why do you think mean look isn't good? Do you find that you can always just keep the target asleep while capturing them so they can't run anyways? Good point about the hm slave part, didn't think of that.

Hi all, Rather new to pokemmo and haven't played pokemon itself in a long time, so sorry for any stupid questions :). I'm thinking about getting a pokemon to help in building up my pokedex and based on my reading, it sounds like Smeargle is the top choice? I have a few questions about him and his movesets and I'm hoping for a little bit of input! 1. Do all semargle's learn sketch? I was looking in the market and saw one with only false swipe. I assume I can go to a trainer to relearn sketch for a price on that one? 2. Which nature do you guys like the best? Adamant appears to be one of the favorites? 3. I read an old post that indicated Soak wasn't working. Is this fixed now? 4. Why do none of the smeargle's in the market have mean look? Wouldn't you want that to prevent them from escaping? 5. What moveset do you guys use? I'm thinking false swipe, soak, spore, and mean look. Thoughts? I know smeargle has been talked about a lot in these forums, but there is a lot of out of data and conflicting input so I'm just trying to orient myself. Thanks!
