  2. Special thanks to @Robombol for promotional artwork 中国用户,请访问此链接 HeartGold/SoulSilver The Johto region is now available, featuring a new storyline with several bosses to challenge This region requires a HeartGold/SoulSilver ROM to function. Players who have already installed these ROM files for visual changes don't need to do anything. For Johto, disobedience works separately from your badge count. While badges will increase your disobedience level along your journey, other key storyline events can too. You'll receive a notification when your disobedience level changes and you can always check it in your Trainer Card. To start this region's adventure, create a new character or visit the Ferry Captain in your current region Apricorns can be found in this region. These can be used to create several new classes of balls: Moon Balls may be crafted for $1,000 + a Yellow Apricorn. These offer 4.0x catch rate for species trees which can be evolved with a Moon Stone. Fast Balls may be crafted for $1,000 + a White Apricorn. These offer 4.0x catch rate for species with 100 base Speed or higher. Heavy Balls may be crafted for $1,000 + a Black Apricorn. These offer a catch rate with the following formula: 1.0x for species with < 100kg weight 2.0x for species with < 200kg weight 3.0x for species with < 300kg weight 4.0x for species with >= 300kg weight Friend Balls may be crafted for $1,000 + a Green Apricorn. These offer a catch rate of 2.5x for species trees which have a Happiness evolution in them. They also greatly increase happiness (to 78%) upon capture. Lure Balls may be crafted for $1,200 + a Blue Apricorn. They offer a 4.0x catch rate for encounters which occur with a Fishing Rod (including Phenomena and special Feebas encounters). Love Balls may be crafted for $1,350 + a Pink Apricorn. They offer an 8.0x catch rate for encounters which are of the same species tree, but of the opposite gender. These don't work against genderless species. Level Balls may be crafted for $1,350 + a Red Apricorn. These offer a 4.0x catch rate for targets which are the same level as your active party member's. Voltorb Flip is a minigame which can be found in the Goldenrod Game Corner Players who win Level 8 of this minigame will receive an exclusive reward Special encounters can occur when using Headbutt on trees in Johto. Once disturbed, these trees will need to be left alone for a while before a new encounter can occur. Mt. Silver is an optional end-game area which can be visited after defeating every region's Elite 4 and completing the National OT Dex. Exclusive rewards await inside. The National OT Dex requirement only applies to species which are normally visible. It does not include special monsters which are time-limited, such as Shaymin, nor overworld legendary events. Special surprises await! Thanks to the folks at @TeamMrfor not letting me give up on the multiple ocasions i wanted to do so, and thank you to the fellow unnoficial shiny existance thread enjoyers who would react to my phase-posts and give words of encouragement here, failing a single enc shunt 35 times was much less painful thanks to all of you. ❤️

  13. Hello! I am VelvetLlama, Co-owner of Team [ROO]. This is going to be my suggestion on bringing back the LC (Little Cup) tier Officially. I saw it was an Official Tier back Pre-2020. (Announcement was made stating they are ending the tier officially on Dec. 28th 2020) but I think enough time has passed and still see an active community in the Tier that it should be taken into consideration to bring it back. I have some reasons why I think we should bring it back officially. First one is because it is one of the unofficial formats that I have been seeing a lot about it again. We have the LCPL (Little Cup Premier League) tournaments that are held yearly with HUGE prize-pools, the PokeMMO World Cups, and also the LC club weekly tournaments. Along with the Recent Patrouski Video on covering the Multiverse Tournament that is coming up has shed a lot of light onto the semi forgotten tier. There has been some discussion about dilemmas and solutions of the tier in previous topics that are on the forums. Like example, “The LC tier had a lot of bans and even ability bans (Download). Devs do not like tiers with a lot of bans.” The most likely problem is that tiers with high ban-lists are difficult to control. So a solution is simple: Leave the LC still under the control of the LC Club. What club leaders or moderators of the club can do is notify the devs in case of Bans on the monthly movement thread when the next one opens like I assume the tier council already does for the other tiers. The LC tier did not have a large player base because devs did not give us LC matchmaking, so that's an easy fix as well. Will they most likely have a smaller player-base on start? Yes, I believe that it's normal with any introduction of something new. But the player-base will increase with time, especially when most lucrative tours are on LC, so a lot of players will want to play and go for these prizes. Like the Multiverse Tournament stated above. I don’t think it would impact the other tiers at all. As they all already have a decent player base. Some might say that The LC tier didn't have a very versatile meta-game and was always defined by very high usage mons that usually ended up banned. But isnt that how OU is currently is to a point? Take example Galade and the sharpness ability. Was brought in, Banned instantly due to how overpowered it was and its usage, and now it has been nerfed hard. Each Tier has its ups and downs but overall I think bringing back this Tier officially would be a good thing for alot of people as it brings a more unique experience with PokeMMO and its PvP. Full box trading

The past few weeks, even months I've noticed an increase in scams regarding Ditto boxes. I've also been scammed a couple of times now, but a few days ago this was the reply given to me. The same reply has been given to many of my friends, teammates and others. Where as I try to understand where they're coming from as SGM+ etc. and that these types of reports take up a lot of time for them. I feel like for long-term the "Pay X amount for 5 dittos" is very inconvenient and wont get rid of all scams regarding these type of transactions, cause majority will still pay full price upfront. Refusing to restore money that has been scammed in the future too will make people not want to report them anymore, cause whats the gain of them reporting if they wont get their money back. It's a give and take situation. I can see these type of scams being resolved by adding a feature where we can trade FULL boxes only for X amount of $.

  25. Introduction As someone who has been enjoying PokeMMO lately, I noticed something that the players of the game need. A damage calculator specifically for PokeMMO. While the Showdown Calculator is perfect, it is intended for the main games. Since the Showdown Calculator is open source, I decided to make a version that is adapted for PokeMMO. My hope is that this will be useful to people. Please feel free to respond with anything that I should fix. Link: https://pokemmocalc.gamer2020.net Source Code: https://github.com/Gamer2020/pokemmo-calc What has been done? Item Explanation Gen 9 Mechanics used. Calculator is set to generation 9 behind the scenes and adjustments are made where needed. BW sets used with levels set to 50. The latest Black and White Smogon sets are used for Pokemon. These have all been set to level 50. Pokemon introduced after Gen 5 removed. Any Pokemon after generation 5 has been removed. Stat changes introduced in later games are kept. If a Pokemon received a stat change after generation 5, it has been kept. PokeMMO seems to follow this. Uses Gen 5 typing. The type chart used for weakness and resistance is the one introduce in Generation 5. Pokemon who received the Fairy type in later games have had their original types restored. Links to BW Smogon Analysis pages. When you click the Analysis page you are taken to the Black and White page for that Pokemon opposed to the generation 9 one. Unneeded options removed. Options in the calculator that don’t exist in PokeMMO have been removed. One example is terrains. Comb through PokeMMO patch notes for changes and apply them. The patch notes for PokeMMO have been reviewed and any mentioned changes related to damage have been applied. (Example: Sharpness) What is planned? Item Explanation Remove Post Gen 5 moves. 29. Happy Lunar New Year 2024. This Year Is the Year of the Dragon! Here like last year I will compile as much information about the event as I can. Just like last year! Any and all information is appreciated greatly. I will update this post regulary with event basics and locations should we need to find anything. As of writing this right now, the servers are down to introduce the event. I will also link the changelog and patch notes when these are available. Event Basics This event sees the return of Shaymin! To keep this mythical Pokemon, you will need to participate in Raid Battles. 12 powerful Pokemon need to be taken out in Co-Op Raids to encounter Shaymin. As of the 21/02/2024 hotfix, a specie and item clause is enforced in raids. You cannot have duplicate items or duplicate species. This means one player cannot use the same Pokemon, such as 2 Typhlosions; or use 2 different Pokemon with the same item, like Choice Band, for example. Thanks to @MissSamus for pointing this out. These raids are not regional exclusive and can be found and battled in across all 5 regions! The 12 Raid Bosses need confirming. But could be the same as the Zodiac Alphas from 2023. Confirmed Raid Bosses: Lopunny (Thanks @ty76hj) Zebstrika Purugly Grumpig Stoutland Ampharos Steelix Slaking Tauros Braviary Excadrill Gyarados Ones marked in Red are currently not in the game and cannot be battled yet. Guide Tavern Index

Purpose for making this: Rather than posting individual guides, you will be able to post this to reduce the majority of the burden. I am aware that various teams will have a few other team specific guides, so this guide index won’t be an exhaustive list. Some guides may be repeated in some sections, but that’s because they can apply to several categories, and it therefore felt most appropriate to list them under the related sections for ease of locating by relevance. Some guides might be slightly out of date since I started compiling this before some updates in change logs, but it shouldn’t be that different. If you notice something, please comment. Always double check the update logs and ask PokeMMO staff to be safe. If I need to update something, ping me in your comment and let me know what needs to be updated. I have been playing pokemon since 2016 I started I had several objectives, I remember that at the beginning I only wanted to be 1st on the ladder, then I saw that there were automatic tournaments and again after I saw that there were community tournaments I personally won full tournamant (and I no longer have much fun winning this game) I met great people, friends and rivals with whom I loved playing games or talking about strategy , thank you for that I will come from time to time to watch what match to see played a little and support my friends I'm going to continue the strat but especially on showdown because I'm a lover of pokemon strategy and I don't know it well so I'm going to try to be the king on showdowd !

  38. Hello everyone, The next in game update will feature a wide list of changes for PvP players. This will include a general balancing patch for movepools for some species and letting things nerfed in the past come back with their real power to us. ==== Generation 9-2 (Teal Mask) Updates With the introduction of Gen 9-2 Teal Mask DLC, movepools & abilities for some species have been updated in some way or another, so we have the pleasure to announce that this new stuff will reach our PvP scene with the next in-game update. The changes are important and will impact in our metagame so we have taken note of the most significant ones: About abilities: Piplup line 2nd ability is now Competitive. (Piplup/Prinplup/Empoleon) Shiftry's 2nd ability is now Wind Rider. Effect: When a Pokémon with Wind Rider is hit by a wind move or when Tailwind takes effect, its Attack is increased by one stage, and the move will have no effect on that Pokémon. Movepool updates: ==== Reverse Nerfs 1.- Hydreigon: Draco Meteor Back to the end of 2020, Draco Meteor was removed from Hydreigon because for those times, this nerf was required for the reintroduction of the Pokémon from Ubers to OU. As stablished in our Tiering Policy: “If significant changes to the metagame have been implemented, these changes can be reversed through a suspect test if deemed appropriate by the tier council”. That being said, the Tier Council believes that this move can be tested and reintroduced to the game as there have been many significant changes including important mechanics/items (like Assault Gear) and HA's that have been added to the game since it was banned. We hope you can help to corroborate this decision to reintroduce it to our metagame. Enjoy it. You can get more info about why it was banned in: https://forums.pokemmo.com/index.php?/topic/123300-ou-suspect-test-draco-meteor-hydreigon/ 2.- Gallade: Sharpness (x1.4): Gallade has been one of the most centralizing topics in the OU metagame in our community in the last months. As we know, the introduction of its new ability “Sharpness” gave it a high scale increase in usage and utility, which culminated in the conclusion that it was too strong for our current metagame. The Pokémon had to be nerfed to be reintroduced from Ubers to OU, making its ability have been reduced in damage (from x1.5 to x1.3 multiplier) to make it easier to control the threat that this Pokémon causes. After a month of review on this mon and its nerf, most of the TC members has come to the conclusion that the nerf massively affected Gallade which has restricted its use abysmally (18% usage to 5-6%), and the goal of a nerf is to weaken the specie as little as possible. Therefore, given the current usage Gallade has in OU, we would like to trial a rework on Sharpness buffed to x1.4 during its testing phase. You can get more info about why it was banned in: https://forums.pokemmo.com/index.php?/topic/156841-ou-discussion-gallade/ ==== This overview is about the most important things that will be added for PvP balance in the next update. Remember that this is a confirmation of the new changes, they have not yet been implemented in-game at the time of this announcement. We hope you like them. Thanks for reading.

  39. Hi! I'm Maid Lulia and I've been part of this community for a year and half. In all this time I've met a great number of amazing people, made friends and received a lot of help and support both in and outside the game. Around a month ago I opened a free shop to give some of that love and help back to people. In staying true to the spirit that drives it, I've decided to give away all shinies I come across while working on orders, starting with the first one! Anyone can participate and there's no limit to the number of people that can enter. Be mindful that alts are not allowed and you will be disqualified if caught entering with one! To get in, you have to write something nice about someone else in the comment section of this thread. It can be anyone from the PokeMMO community, and the comment can be as long or short as you want. Please make sure to also include your in-game name, if possible! Registrations will close and results will be drawn one week from now! List of participants: I'll kickstart it! I'd like to thank @Damian, @Bearminator and @AustinMMO for all the help and for making this possible, the entirety of [TFBO] for all their love and support and everyone else I know for being part of this amazing community. Good luck everyone, and thank you so much!

  41. Introducing... PokeMMO Hub https://pokemmohub.com A website that contains everything PokeMMO related! Formerly 2 websites that have combined to create PokeMMO Hub, but with more additional tools and features. We are PokeMMO players just like you, and creating accessible resources for the community is something we are passionate about. We encourage you to check out our site and explore its features for yourself, however, I will describe in this post what PokeMMO Hub offers. Also, don't forget to report bugs to this post or in our discord server. The link to the discord is found in the PokeMMO Hub website's footer. Tools Keep in mind that you can save your data from these tools across devices by logging into an account on PokeMMO Hub. Otherwise it will just be saved to your device's local storage. The Breeding tool provides the user with a way to carefully plan and visualize their breeding projects. You can enter your target IV's of the end product and if you want it natured. The Breeding tool will then output an image of the steps you can follow to achieve this. It will also display the total estimated cost of the breed. This tool is a convenient way to access the Pokedex while you're not in-game. In fact, it provides even more useful features than the in-game one, such as catch rate depending on health and status conditions. In addition, of course, it provides their egg groups, wild locations, and base stats. You can easily search through the Pokedex using the search bar, which you can filter by regions, egg groups, and encounter types. You can even find all the pokemon that you can encounter in any specific route/location in a region. Egg move breeding is difficult for everybody, but with the Egg Moves Calculator you can select any pokemon you wish to receive an egg move, and it will display all the egg moves it can learn, and once clicking an egg move, it will display all the breeding chains that can be used to achieve the egg move on your selected pokemon. The Egg Moves Calculator visualizes the breeding chain in a very simplistic way making egg move breeding easy! The Cosmetics Helper is a tool that lets you try on any combination of items that you desire. It will display images of what your character will look like in-game - from all sides! You can also select a pokemon follower too! There is also a randomizer if you're bored or need inspiration or a laugh. Here is an example of an outfit (I didn't know shadow bone club color didn't match with the blue flaming skull until I used this tool). The Berries Helper tool is a terrific way to stay consistent with berry planting and harvesting, without checking in-game or flying to your planted berries to check on their status. To use this tool, select the berry you planted (remember to favorite the berries you frequently plant so it appears at the top of the list) and click water. It will update your berry water status as the time goes by so you can check if it needs to be watered or not. Additionally, it will let you know when it will be ready by. You can use the tool as you plant the berry for easy use, or change the time to when you planted it. Market Widget Featuring an all-new design for our market data. We now display price and quantity together to illustrate the effect it has on the market. However, this is only a homepage widget that displays a few of the latest items. To access the rest of the items refer to below. This is where all items are listed with their current price and quantity. You can click on the item you desire to view their item page which contains the price history chart and other available information about the item, such as cosmetic preview or where to acquire that item. You can search through every item and filter by item type. You can even filter event bags 😉 And finally, we have GTL Investments. This feature is great because you can input all your investments using the various 'Create Investment' buttons through-out the site on the specified items and charts. It will save and you can view your list, which will show the quantity of what you bought, and at how much. It will calculate the profit or loss of your investments using the current available price data. Here is an example of a typical Mage Staff investor's portfolio 😭 Introducing the new Trade Ads section! Here you can post items to offer and request, and users can contact you in-game if they are interested in your trade. This feature serves as an alternative to the in-game Trade Chat, which is very spammy and annoying to keep open all the time. You can only post a Trade Ad every 15 minutes, and newest Trade Ads are sent to the top. Here is an example of a Trade Ad: We also provide useful miscellaneous information such as gym level caps for each region, a table of EV hordes and berries, and a gym re-run calculator! Also, Upcoming Events displays upcoming PVP tournaments and upcoming catch events, contests etc. Misc info You can change languages at the bottom of the page in the footer. There is an account system where you can log in and all your data will be saved across different devices. This includes your investments, planted berries, your last breed, and pretty much anything. If you're not logged in, it will be saved to your device's local storage. We also have a discord bot which replies with a 2 week price history chart of any item you specify that's on the GTL. If you would like this bot in your discord server, you can access the bot invite link in our discord in the #bot-invite-link channel. And thank you for translations: @loserzero(CN), @Polimerasa (ES), @Hiruru on IG (FR). Our translation is now open-source, so please contribute if you're interested in seeing PokeMMO Hub fully translated in your language. Contribute here: https://crowdin.com/project/pokemmohub And again, don't forget to report bugs to this post or in our discord server. It helps us improve the experience for you guys! The discord link is found in the PokeMMO Hub website's footer. Thank you so much for your support guys! https://pokemmohub.com

    Roaming Legendaries FAQ

    Q. There are legendaries in the game now????? A. Yes, Shaymin has been in the game since the Chinese New Year event in February :^) Serious answer: Yes, the legendary beasts have been released for permanent capture as part of the Johto region launch. The legendary birds are available as of the Xmas 2023 event. Q. Which roaming legendaries are obtainable? A. The roaming legendaries rotate every IRL month. Suicune was available in August 2023, Raikou is available in September of 2023, and Entei will be available in October of 2023. Then the rotation will begin again, so Suicune will be available in November 2023, Raikou in December 2023, Entei in January 2024, etc. The same is true for Articuno in Dec 2023, Zapdos in Jan 2024, and Moltres in Feb 2024 etc. Q. How do I encounter a roaming legendary? A. For legendary beasts, defeat the Ho-Oh boss fight during the Johto storyline; after this, the current month's beast will become obtainable in all exterior grass locations in Johto except the Safari Zone (Suicune can also be found while surfing). The chance to encounter it is very low (players report it as less than 0.1%). For legendary birds, obtain 8 badges in Kanto, then the bird of the month can be found in the same way in any exterior location in Kanto including the Sevii Isles. The chance to encounter a roaming legendary is not affected by Lures (although Lures will increase the overall rate of wild encounters), nor can it be Repel-tricked, nor do Intimidate/Pressure improve the chance to find it by suppressing other encounters of a lower level. It replaces an otherwise normal encounter. There are no "legendary locks", it's just a very low encounter rate. The roaming legend encounter will not replace a summoned Sweet Scent horde, but it can replace a horde or multi-encounter found while running, either with or without a Lure active. Q. What happens if I fail to capture the roaming legendary or kill or flee from it by accident? A. You can re-encounter it as normal, except that the chance to encounter it will significantly increase if you fail to catch it. Q. Can the roaming legendary be shiny? Can I shiny hunt them? A. Yes, like alphas, the shininess is rolled on the first encounter and fixed afterwards for subsequent encounters. This means that you can't repeat encounters in the same month to try to get a shiny one, ie shiny hunting them in the traditional sense is not possible. Q. How many roaming legendaries can I catch? A. One per character, per region, per monthly rotation. If you caught Suicune in August, you can catch another one in November. If you caught Zapdos in Kanto in Jan 2024, you can still catch Entei in Johto if you haven't caught one in Jan 2024 already. Q. Do I need to capture Suicune to catch Raikou? Do I only get one legendary? A. No, they're independent from one another. You can catch all 3, and you can catch duplicates of the same one as long as you wait for the next monthly cycle. Once you catch one for the month, you won't encounter a second one. You cannot catch the previous month's beast until the next rotation if you missed it. EDIT: This was previously bugged such that if you had caught Suicune you would unable to encounter Raikou. This has since been fixed. Q. Can I change their IVs/natures? A. Yes; the legendary beasts' IVs can be increased/decreased using Rainbow Quills. The birds can have their IVs increased/decreased via Elemental Orbs. The natures can be changed using Nature Herbs. Q. How do I obtain Rainbow Quills/Nature Herbs/Elemental Orbs? A. You get a fixed number (20) of Quills when you catch a beast. You can gain additional ones by using the Pickup ability or through player pickup in Johto only (not other regions). Nature Herbs drop randomly when harvesting Gracidea plants. Elemental Orbs drop randomly when defeating a wild pokemon with a move matching the elemental type of the bird in battle (eg faint wild mons with Zapdos using an Electric-type move for a chance at Elemental Orbs). Q. Are they dogs or cats or some other animal? A. I have called them dogs since I was single-digit years old, so they're dogs to me.

  43. This is a patch that changes ALL the battle backgrounds in game to ones shown in the video/screenshots. This also comes with the No battle ground mod by @efeburc Download: Night Beach Sunset Beach Galaxy Park Video: Screenshots: Night Beach Sunset Beach Galaxy Park Installation: 1. For PC users: Download xdelta: https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/598/ For Android users: UniPatcher from the Google Play Store 2. Open xdeltaUI.exe 3. For the Patch file select the appropriate game version patch (White Patch for Pokemon White and Black Patch for Pokemon Black) 4. For the Source file select the ROM you use to play Pokemmo with (it has to be an unpatched USA rom of Black or White [5585 Pokemon Black/5584 Pokemon White] or else the patch will likely not work) 5. Output file name it and make sure to add .nds at the end of the filename > click Patch. 6. Open Pokemmo's LOGIN Screen > Client Management > Black/White Rom > Select your patched ROM> After selecting your ROM Pokemmo will close and the mod is now installed! If you load into game and still don't see the background, look in Pokemmo settings Video section and see if "Show Battle Background" is checked. Screenshot below The mod is safe to use, you will not get banned for using it. You cannot use two different backgrounds at the same time. These are imports from Black & White 2 battle backgrounds (from the Movie mini-game). I would like to give special thanks to @cloo for their documentation/publication/general help. @efeburc for their No battle ground mod/publication help. Lastly @Smooge for shedding light on Battle background modding and getting me started on this journey. I'm currently working on getting fully custom battle backgrounds in game and provide a guide for it but until then enjoy these imports I've selected. 🙂 If you have any questions you can post in the thread or ask me on Discord: guaychow
