Hello everyone, I just got approval from the PokeMMO staff on Aug 30th for my app. (Latest update 12/4/2022) Please keep in mind this is a BETA release and only for Windows 64bit systems (32bit will come soon, and I want to get a MacOS version at some point). Expect bugs, crashes, it just plainly not working, etc.. I ask that you report these bugs back to me in the following format: Description of issue (what happened, what were you doing, etc.): Is the issue reproduceable (i.e. can you make it happen again)? (unsure if I will be able to fix this, as the Fullscreen mode for PokeMMO is not capturable, even by regular screenshot methods; and it prevents any window from being on top of it) Best suggestion is to just play in borderless window mode while using the encounter app. - Safari Zone encounters don't always count properly. This is due to the "A wild X appeared!" text is not up on the screen for a long interval. Currently working on a fix for this - Doesn't count Zorua species (will count as the species it is currently illusion'd as) - German ROMs do not count single encounters. This is caused by a typo in the single wild battle start text. Fixed bugs and update in downloadable version: - jre path location that exists in a personal user folder path will not work. If you don't see a black window pop up on startup, this is most likely the culprit. (prevents counting) I have a fix for this and will be implementing it very soon! - Settings page is too tall and doesn’t scale with smaller screen sizes. You should be able to drag the settings page up and down which should trigger it snapping to the top or bottom. This will allow you to access the rest of the page. Will add a scroll feature in the future. - If you use custom strings, my tool will not currently work for you. I am working on a fix. awkways has posted a workaround for the timebeing. - Certain pokemon aren't being counted, while others are (and I'm not on 1.25x, 1.5x, or 1.75x ui scaling). This is likely due to my program being unnecessarily strict on image matching when the font rendering is slightly different (due to anti aliasing or something). I will relax the restrictions in the next update which should alleviate this issue. Also check if your antialiasing is set to "no antialiasing" (in Graphics) and High DPI Font is enabled (In Interface) - The black window is still not showing up. Likely due to the PokeMMO main.properties listing a mod name that does not exist. A workaround on the user side can be to delete this mod name from the main.properties file. An code-side fix will be included in the update I will be pushing later this week. -Gilan

There's a great tool called Gilan's encounter counter which counts pokemon per species so you can go to a route and see how many encounters it takes you to get those very rare pokemon and how many of them you got overall to find out encounter %

IGN: Kiralexis (Story is in Third Person) As the early rays of sunlight crept into the room, her eyes slowly began to open. She'd gotten used to living without an alarm clock, as her Kangaskhan usually woke her up before too much longer. Even now, as she glanced over to where her Pokémon slept, she saw Kangaskhan beginning to stir. Realizing that sleepy time was over, Alyss moved her covers and got out of bed. She was immediately greeted by Hypno, holding a cup of coffee out for her. Hypno never slept, which meant there was always someone watching the house, allowing Alyss to sleep much easier at night. The only part that confused her about it was how he always managed to get into the bedroom without waking her up. Kangaskhan woke up right as Alyss took her first sip and left the room. First thing in the morning was when the most 'creative juice' was flowing, Alyss believed, so the first thing she always did in the morning was sit down at her desk and begin to draw. She poked the blue blob sitting next to her, waking up her favorite companion for this event. Ditto's eyes opened slowly as they realized it was time to draw again, and excitedly began to quiver. "What are we going to draw today, Ditto?" "Ditto!" They hopped off the desk and transformed into Alyss herself. "We're drawing me again?" She said with a smile, glancing over at the notebook on the desk. "Ditto!" They changed slightly, modifying Alyss' outfit to be a frilly dress with ribbons on it. Alyss' eyes lit up and she immediately got to work on the drawing, with Ditto modeling for her. "Not many people get to use themselves as a model for a sketch... not like this, anyway." Hypno came by to give Ditto a glass of water, while Kangaskhan peeked over Alyss' shoulder to look at the Drawing, with her baby excitedly pulling on Alyss' sleeve to see too. With a laugh, Alyss shifted herself so all the Pokémon could see her drawing in progress. She'd been at this morning routine for a few months now, almost a whole year, and could definitely see the improvements she'd made. Every few weeks she considered going out to find a Smeargle, but figured that'd be seen as a lazy way out, and instead relied on her own skill to grow, and her companions to both keep her company and model for her. Hypno left to go make breakfast for the team, and Kanga joined him after a short pause, leaving Alyss and Ditto alone to draw until breakfast was ready. She only ever had the three Pokémon with her, as she wasn't much of the Battler type, and rarely left her house, so there was little reason to get more Pokemon than she needed, and her companions had definitely been good companions all throughout her life. Some people worry about not knowing what 'the good old days' are while they're living them; Alyss, on the other hand, had no concern over that. These, right here, are her good old days.

But now, I worry not. For there is GrandpaTrinityy's Grinding Ranch that I can rely on. It took only a few of hours to 100 my mean ferrothorn and fast as fuck hippowdon. I got them back safely and even got exact change back. I didnt even spend as much as I prepared as it is cheap like a raycons from buyraycons.com/BigMoney. Don't let your playtime be work. So, in the upcoming version, if you do this, you will be able to click on the app and then press ctrl+f (using left control) and this will tell my app to force count the encounter. The issue here is that when you minimized the client while encountering the horde, my app missed out on the "A wild horde appeared!" text, so it never figured out that a battle started. It's better if you just tab out of pokemmo and not minimize it.

There are few issues that this suggestion has, to the point I - personally- wouldn't expect it to come. First of all, there goes the problem with players reporting each other in hopes for old vanity/shiny going to auction. Sure we can check if the report is valid, but that will take time from players that really need to be reported or helped. Even if we take it away, it will also hurt the market for cosmetics a bit. Why would you pay 200m for an item/shiny when there is always a chance of getting it for 1/4 of that price on an auction if you will be lucky? Should we have a limit on prices? How to calculate it? This all sounds like too much hassle than profit to me tbh.

I'm not a TC member, but I'll explain why I don't think it's possible to consider AT a problem. We have 3 AT users in MMO: Diglett, Dugtrio and Trapinch. When Gen 5 came out, Dugtrio was quick banned (no teampreview + 100 base atk stat). During that time, Diglett and Trapinch were not played in OU, UU or NU. They were not played at all. When Dugtrio was unbanned, it ended up in OU for a while; during that time Diglett and Trapinch were still not played in UU and NU. Then Dugtrio moved down to UU; during that time Diglett and Trapinch were still not played in NU. What this means is that AT is hardly an abusable ability without the base stats and movepool to back it up. Diglett and Trapinch are clearly overwhelmingly unviable, unplayed and irrelevant. Therefore, Dugtrio might be a problem, but definetly not AT.

It was around 9 pm and I was coming back from exercising; I had climbed the hill that I usually visit since I was a little boy, but far from feeling satisfaction, I felt boredom and annoyance, the place that bring me tranquility was close to becoming a garbage dump thanks to the drunks and lazy people who frequented the place since it had been turned into a tourist attraction. I go ahead until I heard a couple of motorcycles coming from far away, but since I was already close to my house I was not afraid, so I kept looking at them and realized that they were policemen on patrol. I approached them and told them what had happened, but they told me it was fireworks and I replied that it was not. They made faces of disgust and told me that they would send someone to check; it was evident that they would not do anything and it is even probable that they were involved. I could only think that humanity was a plague that should be eradicated, because it destroys the nature that is its sustenance, and mortifies the society it uses, but what bothered me the most was not that and that is why I was scared. For a few moments I felt as if I was being watched; I started to walk faster, but my gait became clumsy, I felt enervated, there was a slight sweet smell in the air. My head was spinning so much that I felt that my shadow was moving independently of my movements, and it was at that moment that a chill ran down my spine, the environment suddenly cooled, I seemed to see a pair of claws and a threatening tongue coming out of nowhere, as if they had been transported from another dimension. At the moment I saw sinister eyes emerging from my shadow, I knew what was happening; a Gastly, a Haunter, and a Gengar had been stalking me and were coming for my soul.
