I already knew the pokemon showdown calculator and found out that you can import your teams into the calculator so you don't need to set your pokemon moves, items and evs in the calculated. And an export button in box battles would be great and would reduce the hassle of having to build teams in the showndown an option to move and organize the boxes would be nice too

is my labcoat worth a trillion yet?

Here's the sad truth of things, it was "possible" for the everyday player to get vanities. Now, even the end game grinds aren't even worth the time to get anything cool on the market. The only way to have something interesting is to have vanities from when they came out. At the end of the day now, it's become VanityMMO. I don't even think that my cash is gonna be worth anything and that I just need to put it all into vanities solely. The problem is that I don't even think there is a way to fix things unless a new currency that isn't so inflatable comes around. RP isn't even linking to the curve at all, I THINK the problem is that there is just too much RP in the system, kind of like the problem that EVE Online had with their plex overabundance. The devs need to do something similar to plex for good that will convince the whales to quit cycling the market with rp. the amount of vanities every event is increasing by the pages on the gtl alone. I'm still very sure the devs have records on how much people have/spend, It would be great to have their input on the situation.

Well, this morning I had an idea, what if there were Raid battles against legends on pokeMMO? Looks like Sword and Shield pokemon. How it would work: First I would need a link when I made the link I could go to a legendary for example: Articuno I would go to the Cynambar Islands and when I found the link with the link we could battle it with each person on the link use only one pokemon. Note: It would not be possible to capture the pokemon just by battling If the link won the pokemon we would earn some reward, like Battle points and some item. And when we beat the legendary after 24 hours we could battle him again Note 2: It would be nice to give the legendary a UP, which I mean to make him a little stronger and improve his moveset. Hi, got a few ideas for a GTL rework to have a better QoL using it, I think the way it is now is great, but the Advanced Search option can be way better with a few changes. My idea is to have the possibility to have multiple filters working at the same time. Players spend a lot of time going back and forth the advanced search option and the pokemon list just to make a few changes, like changing egg group, one IV, nature, or gender. If they want to compare prices of multiple possibilities they have for whatever breeding they are up to, they have to remember every prices as they can only have one filter at once. MOST IMPORTANT CHANGE : Add a button to minimize the GTL window, just like matchmaking, so you don't have to close it when you don't need it on your screen, and lose everything you entered, and have to do it again. It would look like this : - Next to "clear" button, there are multiple "pages" of different advanced searches, I put 4 here but it can be more I guess. You can fill them however you want. - I added "31" buttons to automatically enter one IV as 31. I mean, yeah. - There can be a possibility of searching a move aswell, by adding somewhere a search bar for a move, just like how it works in PC. The result on the list page can either show all filters at once, or give the possibility to easely switch between different filters, showing a different list. So Prices of a lot of vanities went x2 / x3 in the last week and they were already rising beforehand. I would say that im participating in the market a lot and usually know the mechanics pretty well - but this is just insane. I talked to different people and apparently its not only on the GTL, but the offers they receive in tradechat as well seem to have gotten way higher. Whats the reason for this? Did a few rich players decide to buy the whole vanity market empty or do we really have an issue with inflation now? The inflation part doesnt make sense to me though, if that really would be an issue RP prices and so on should go up to - but they are back to what they have been pre-event season.

Hello fellow community members, as someone that likes hosting big tournaments with non existing prize pools, I'd like to start a discussion on what people want out of unofficial tournaments. I'll start with myself, cauz I'm just that important. To me unofficial tournaments are the heart of competitive battling in MMO. Officials are stale, single-elimination automated tournaments. They do not really challenge a player or force them to become better in any way. Larger tournaments that are not focused on single-elimination give players multiple chances to improve themselves and promote a healthier competitive scene overall. We cannot expect these kind of tournaments from staff, which is why I believe this is a key function of unofficial tours. Yet, I think I'm not in the majority in this mentality. Some context: I've tried to host two OU tournaments (the most played tier). They were both based on several Swiss rounds with a double elimination bracket afterwards. One (23rd August) I tried to host in two days (saturday + sunday), the tournament itself had around 30 sign ups and in the end around 10 people showed up. The second tournament (last week) I tried to host had a similar structure but this time based on weekly scheduling (like PSL and PBS), which got 10 signups and was therefore cancelled. I've gotten feedback saying that players are tired of tournaments and that there needs to be a break between big tournaments. I don't really understand that when all you need to do is do 1 match per week, for tier tournies the prep required is minimal for veteran players. Besides that, the first tournament I tried to host was when there was no big tournament around at all, yet it didn't succeed. So, I'm kind of scratching my head here. What does the community want out of unofficials? Like I said we cannot expect staff to give us larger tournaments based on single tiers. So why are these ideas being rejected when they are unofficial? Communities like smogon have a large pool of players on a high skill level, this is because Smogon offers multiple large tournaments throughout the year that players can compete in. Something for them to strive for. So if we want this community to improve, we have to have a similar 'competition calendar'. And for all these tournaments to work out, you need to have multiple tournaments running around the same time. This is in my mind how a calendar like that could look: Maybe we simply don't have the playerbase for such ambitions. But I don't think that's the case, as we see PSL get to 100 signups easily and I have around 36 players in quite a niche format. Then maybe the playerbase is just not interested in competition like this, or maybe you guys think of tournaments very differently. So I just really want to know what you guys think of unofficials and their place in MMO. Lastly unrelated to what I said above, but I don't want to start another topic. But many players have been asking for a PSL for players who haven't been able to get drafted, to prove themselves and get familiar with the PSL format. I could arrange a tournament like that and I think it would have the following sign up rules: You may sign up as a player for the PokeMMO Challenger League (w.i.p.) if you meet one of the following conditions: - You haven't been drafted in PSL XIII - You have been drafted, but haven't won a game in PSL XIII - You were a manager and wish to sign up as a player You may sign up as a manager for the PokeMMO Challenger League if you meet the following condition: - You haven't been a manager in PSL XII or PSL XIII. If the case is as it really shows, I do not understand the reason for the ban, there is nothing illegal about giving things to a friend when you stop playing, it is quite normal. I recommend you go to the support section, log in with your game account, and start an appeal ticket.

I've tried to whisper members of the team that registered, but I couldn't find one around. However, I don't intend to punish teams that didn't show up. They basically gave free spot for some teams, but also just two teams IIRC did so I don't think punishing someone twice solves the issue- they already got punishment because they lost the chance to fight on Saturday.

It would potentially be a workaround to being AFK kicked. Asides from that it doesn't really add any noticeable gameplay aspects, you can literally just walk behind them and achieve the same thing. Also, the idea you mentioned is very easily confused, "having 2 male characters in black suits following" this is pretty confusing, and either way they implemented it, it would either look like - 2 Actual Players who aren't actually online and aren't interactable which is just -- well, confusing. - 2 NPC's that serve no purpose. It's an MMO, where every player on screen is supposed to be interactable and be an actual player, adding sprites that aren't actually there (which is how I'm interpreting this considering you mentioned that you would do this on your account across the 3 characters you own, which isn't possible as having 2 characters online at the same time is against the rules if you're trying to do so on the same device.) It's just a lot of cons for something that doesn't actually bring anything to the table.

True to an extent, but I think it's undeniable that Discord makes PvP more accessible than the barely used forums. Like the vaibility that now actually gets some discussion now and then, the threads are basically dead on the forums. Round Table isn't used anymore, people use team servers for that. So that is where the communication has shifted to and I guess we need to move with it partially. I think the forums are still very valuable for documentation and to have as a reference point to link to. Like simply having the general threads and match threads in there. Maybe doing what Dontea suggested is a good move. Having the PvP on a main server, viability + tours. I guess the question is do you keep big tournaments like PSL and WC in a separate server or do you keep them all in one place. The nice thing about Disc is that it is super customizable so if tournament like PSL aren't ongoing, you can simply make it so people are unable to chat in those channels until the next season starts.

Speaking from my personal experience, I think ALWAYS being on a tournament on the beggining is exciting and you feel like you're actually improving, and while you may actually improve, you then get tired real fast. Sometimes the only thing you want is a break. Yes, maybe still play some games, maybe rankeds, but not having the compromise of a tournament, where you have to prep vs someone, you have to schedule and you have to actually attend to it. And right now I think some players are in like 38923 tours (Past psl, PBS, another tour that might be running I have no idea about, maybe playing on Smogon as well), so that can also be a factor for people not wanting to sign up for more tours rn. I'm not sure what I would propose to try to make all this better for players. I agree having a calendar with scheduled events might be a good idea, but the problem of tours overlapping and people wanting to take a small break or just not sign up to many tours might still be there. If people is what we want, then I'd suggest promoting this to players that maybe aren't top players or thaat good, but are still into competitive and want to actually improve. Competitive level might either stay the same or decrease at the beggining, but on the long run, these new guys will get good (if they're constant I guess) and we'll get both a bigger community and a more competitive one. Buffing prices could also be a more motivating factor, but I mean getting that money for other tours that aren't named PSL is quite hard lmao.

Monotype, 1v1, Tag Teams, Little Cup, Triples, etc. Those were fun and they spice things up. edit: Triples and Little Cup can be supported through automated tournaments I believe, but other formats are not, so it would also be nice they were added as options.

It will become OT* if you didn't catch the original female/non-ditto pokemon yourself. Only you would see the *, and to everyone else it would appear to be your OT. The problem with this is that technically the game does not register it as your OT, so say you got a rare shiny from egg as OT*, if you bred it again to improve IVs or anything, the baby would be unknown OT. Regarding the OP's question, breeding with the same evolution line has absolutely nothing to do with the baby's OT. Your OT will only pass via breeding if its on the female or non-ditto pokemon. So if you wanted to breed your OT male Mightyena and keep your OT, you would first need to breed with a shiny Ditto to make it female. Once female, you can breed with ANY male shiny species in the same egg group, and the baby will have your OT.
