  4. Developers are afraid to give pvp players any real awards for some reason. End of season you get a lame ass crown for being top 3, and a ticket to a tournament basically anyone can enter because the sign up system is broken. That has to be the shittiest 'reward' for the extreme grind it takes to get to the top spot (at least in OU, and somewhat in Doubles). On top of tHat you get an untradeable hat.... untradeable what??? For WINNING 250 games in a season. For someone with a 70% winrate which is average that is like 350 games. For a HAT you can't do shit with. It has literally no value. People can be like 'oh cool where did you get that from?'. 'Well its an exclusive reward for ranked season 1.' OH IT MUST BE WORTH A LOT. Nope it's utter trash, it has literally 0 value. This system might work for a few seasons, especially OU will stay populated. But people will see through the utter shallowness of the rewards that these ranked seasons offer. The best reward is the freaking pvp box. Seems like I'm being harsh and I don't mean any disrespect to the people that make the hats. They look fun and effort went into them. But they are a total waste of time, theu don't promote any kind of matchmaking. I think they even actively discourage it. Which is kinda sad because I can see devs put time and effort into the system. But then don't be afraid to actually reward people that put time and effort into the system as well.

  6. Why not add a multiplier for BP/Matchmaking points (probably matchmaking points imo) every time the system is unable to find someone to match with? This would reward someone for sitting around waiting for an opponent regardless.

  7. There's pretty much no reason to play matchmaking, besides the occasional teambuild testing. New tournament system basically turned tournaments into enhanced matchmaking, with less time invest and better rewards. Why would I play 300 blind matches for untradable hat when I can play 6 blind matches for a shiny Comp and RP? > "Oh b-but you can place yourself in the rankings and grab a spot in a seasonal for 10k RP" Yeah well I played like 30 ladder matches to get in one of those and then swept a bunch of dudes that had 500 matches in the same season. So RIP their efforts lol. There should be actual rewards for placing high on the ladder, it doesn't even have to be money, but imagine like Top3 in OU get a Shiny Tyra/Milotic/Mence. Top 3 NU Shiny Kanga/Houndoom/Poliwrath. Etc. Maybe more people would actually have a reason to bother queueing up. But nah that will never happen cuz we still pretending shiny economy is a thing and that it matters for whatever reason.

    Lets talk about matchmaking

    If I'm someone who only plays OU, how does this incentivize me to play other tiers? We have already established you can earn more money playing PvE, so why wouldn't I use this time to do my gym runs & berry farm so I can make more OU teams? This doesn't promote other tiers or make them any more appealing to OU players. We need to find unique ways to make these tiers stand out & reward players for investing millions & learning a completely new tier. As an OU player there is literally no reason to try anything else.

  12. This damn message. It usually haunts every PVP player, usually those playing tiers other than OU, and especially for those that are present within the top 100 for a tier. There has been much talk as of late recently how this is a major drag and turn off for people who generally have to deal with this issue, which results in lower ranked tiers becoming way more lowly populated than they have to be. Ideas have been thrown around by balancing the tiers by making their BP/Matchmaking Point payout be buffed accordingly per the popularity of said tier. But why not introduce a system in place that rewards a player for sitting around waiting anyway? I am proposing some kind of formula being introduced every time you see this message while waiting for matchmaking. The multiplier I personally am proposing is: +.2 to the rate of BP/Matchmaking rewards every time a match cannot be found. In a situation like the picture above, regardless of win or loss, that player would then gain x2.8 more BP/Matchmaking Point rewards due to having to sit around for 9 matchmaking periods without being able to find an opponent. I think a hard cap on how high the percentage of a gain would be fair as well, maybe maxing around anywhere from x4-x6 more rewards. Again, those specific numbers I'm throwing around are a rough idea. The general premise is that I believe that giving extra rewards based off of time spent in queue balances time invested into less popular tiers, or even for higher ranked players present in any tier. This makes it to where the devs do not constantly have to be adjusting the gain rates for every specific tier, and can just focus on this one single global mechanic that inheriently balances participation in every tier. Again, if you don't agree with the gain rate that I proposed (or even if it should be multiplicative), please, talk about it below. The more discussion about this, the better.

  13. Shinies are at least vanities that can be used in battle. So I actually like them as prizes, although I really think it should just be 6 selectable IVs. Really don't understand why it's not. On top of that you get 1k+ RP an actual reward. Honestly I could get into quarters or semis and it would still be much better than the seasonal reward. I'll take 125RP over an untradeable hat I will never wear any day. If you give a comp player 5m. And they know they have a reliable way to get 5m again in a few weeks, they will spend that 5m guaranteed. More comps, better IVs, more PP maxes, more moveset changes. Comp is the ultimate money sink. And unlike shiny traders, we actually don't hoard money usually. This is why it's so baffling that comp players earn so little from MM. DON'T WORRY, WE WILL SPEND IT What better way to promote more tiers by giving comp players more freedom to make more Pokemon?

    Life hit it on the head here to be honest. What's the difference between matchmaking and ATs nowadays? Theyre all blind matches, you have no idea who you are facing(except the finals) and the rewards are better from tournaments. That's it. As it's always been UU and NU aren't as popular mainly because it is not the first tier a player gets into. And seeing how much of a pain it can be to breed and make a larger amount of pokemon I can see how people can be turned off from playing the lower tiers, especially if they barely have any OU mons. Even more for newer players. I think the issue doesn't lie in the MM system. In fact I think the current MM system is the best we have ever had. Could you get more rewards for placing high on the ladder? Sure I wouldn't have an issue with it although I don't think this will magically make 2000 people play UU and/or NU. I mainly think that the issues lie elsewhere in the game. Since realistically why would you want to play lower tier matchmaking when tournaments exist and you pretty much guaranteed get in, unlike the OUs.

    Banking Facility for Teams

    I don't if this was posted already but I really hope that there's a banking functionality wherein the officers can store a pokeyen / pokemon on a bank. As of now we're trying to build a fund that will be use for the future events of our team and that fund is being transferred to an alternate account of the officer for storage purposes. I really hope that this will be implemented in the future development of PokeMMO. I think this will be a good functionality for the game, cheers!

  22. 2020-12-08更新(今天晚些时候会有最多半小时的中断进行数据更新) 数据已更新 增加技能综合检索, 时装综合检索 功能 技能数据添加高级属性,比如是否可以无视替身,是否受到强行加成等等 更新了很多图标 PVP伤害计算器现在可以计算精神波,一回合内多次攻击的伤害将分情况列出,比如岩石爆破 增加了纪念球礼盒开出情况,感谢@dorybo的统计 宝可梦携带数据中添加了化石道具的携带情况 道具会尽快添加获取方式,感谢@RenoLee的提醒 宝可梦配置推荐会尽快添加被遗忘的地龙,感谢@Huangmengjifan的提醒 还有一些小更新不详述,大伙可以自行体验(当然肯定也有不少bug哈哈) 过几天就是12月17号,去年的这天网站刚刚部署上线,转眼间一年的时间就快过去了, 当初很早的时候,在老中文社区写了几个小桌面端的程序,发现并不好用,于是萌生了 做网站的想法,从一个一开始以[孵蛋成本估算]和[树果利润计算]两个功能为主,扩展到 现在拥有不少功能,我非常的开心。我想在此感谢以下几位玩家: @hhhjiushipi 我记得去年(2019)暑假的时候,那时候我刚在老中文 社区发布树果利润计算器桌面版时三哈就找到了我,和我聊关于树果分解率的问题,我当时刚写完 不带分解率的计算器,不是很情愿想去研究这个问题,但是三哈最终还是说服了我去研究这个问题, 当时我们分解了大量的树果,做了统计,我看着那些统计数据百思不得其解,我晚上睡觉前苦思冥想, 正好在一个晚上我用科学推理法推到出了一个分解率算法模型(嗯凑的),第二天把所有数据对了一遍发现相似率90%以上, 那种高兴的感觉我现在还依旧记得,现在想想如果三哈不强行拉着我去研究这个,我也不知道还会不会运气这么好猜到分解率的规律 @dorybo 我的网站刚发布的时候,朵莉啵就一直使用,经常协助我检测bug, 后来2020年4月份左右,朵莉啵开始测试闪蛋规律,我在做完网站的一个大更新之后也加入了测试队伍, 我们当时一起在交易市场收闪光水母做实验,因为需要的量不少,怕买多了涨价所以偷偷地收, 我们进行了大量的6项个体比对,最终发现了闪蛋的规律,于是我就开始编写闪蛋的算法,那概率算固定的参数我都要吐了, 还搁那写任意参数算法呢,但经过很多次修改,我还是硬怼了出来哈哈 @2657116698这位玩家,虽然我们在游戏里面素不相识,但是那次非常希望我把PVP伤害计算器功能重新上架的建议影响深远, 之前这个功能因为经常算错,我发现是我设计的太简陋了,所以下架了想以后找个时间专门研究(其实我感觉很麻烦,我也不是专业PVP玩家)。 但是面对真挚的请求我只好说我只能上架原来的有明显问题的功能,但就在我当天晚上看完我的源代码,以及我正好看到了PMGBA上的伤害流程 我才发现只写一个伤害公式做计算是不行的。我立马有了重新设计的信心和可以付诸实现的参考资料。 @yelugg 半年前叶路突然找上我给我指了一堆问题,特别是宝可梦分布数据, 我当时就想着这人怎么跟我大爷一样,虽然态度我并不喜欢,不过我还是忍住了,这毕竟还是我的问题,做东西不能 只接受表扬而不接受批评,叶路直接帮我检查了4k多条分布数据。后来PVP伤害计算器决定重做,叶路为了提供了极大 的帮助,虽然有计算流程说明,但是还是非常简陋的,有很多细节需要处理,这个技能在这种情况下可以用,那种情况下不能用,对于一个不是很了解PVP的 我来说,简直太痛苦了,从2020.9.16号测试到10月中旬+,在讨论组里面截了无数张测试案例图,如果没有叶路的帮助, 我一定是做不成的。 @[GM]YIBU 和中文社区的伙伴,感谢伊布为网站提供了大量数据, 特别是宝可梦技能数据,[遗传链查询]是网站算法最复杂,耗时最长的功能, 有了这些数据,可以直接让[遗传链查询]功能可以付诸实现,就像汽车有了油一样可以行驶。 后来还提了[宝可梦配置推荐]功能的模型建议,这个功能同时还让PVP计算器在数据导入上锦上添花。 中文社区的伙伴为[宝可梦配置推荐]提供了大量配置数据供参考,等下我还要找他们去要被遗忘的地龙配置数据。 当然,更要感谢每一位使用网站的玩家,提出问题,建议,发现bug, 都能让网站变得更好,也能让我灵感涌现,这也是我可以继续改善更新的动力, 希望接下来的时间里,网站能做的更好,同时也和与大家一起成长。

    Hi everyone ! Let me introduce you to "my" theme, but to create it, I took everything I liked on already existing themes. So that's not realy "my" theme. All of the themes I used to create this one are awesome, and all the credits should be given to their creators, not to me. I'm just a thief. Shame on me. But, everytime I tryied one of those themes, I liked it, but... There was always some things that bothered me. Like... The cursor, the Battle HUD or the Pokemon Infos... So... I decided to take everything I liked in thoses themes, and to remove what I disliked, to create "my own" theme. And, well, I'm pretty happy with the result... So... I decided to post it here, because maybe some people will like it aswell. So FIRST, the credits, of course, to the creators who made the themes I stole parts from, and without their works, nothing would have been possible : Gen5 Inspired Theme (The most important one, I kept a lot of parts from this one !) Extra Dark Theme (For the PC boxes.) Dark Theme (I took the "EV" and "IV" part of this one, for the Pokemon Informations. Was a good idea.)   30. The recent change to hordes is great, shaving literally hours off the grind to level 100, but a few snags still exists. For instance, leveling a Gyarados takes around 35% longer than other pokemon since it is locked into the ability intimidate which procs for every pokemon in the horde. It's even worse when grinding Tentacruel as it's clear body ability adds even more time to the encounter. This .GIF shows how Gyarados takes longer to level than other species just because of its ability: https://giphy.com/gifs/gWvEl6QtB3u4cpGCs9/fullscreen A typical pokemon will take about 333 horde encounters with exp share to reach the 1,000,000 exp needed for level 100. Without the ability intimidate, this would take about 1hr 51min. With intimidate it will take 2hr 29min, an extra 38 minutes. Perhaps an option to disable ability procs being displayed during wild horde battles should be implemented. I can hardly think of a time I would want ability procs to be shown during a wild encounter, but if I did I could always toggle it on or off in the options menu. The alternative would be to rework how combat logs every different ability found in wild encounters, a more thorough fix but also more arduous and prone to bugs and subsequent debugging. If I know I'm going to be hunting something which has an annoying ability popup on each encounter, I can just enable this option first to save time and make my hunt more efficient. If you know of any other ability interactions like intimidate which cause unnecessarily long encounters while grinding hordes or hunting in general, put it in the comments.

  32. Using an account that you created yourself is not illegal, you can create the number of accounts you want unlimited. (If you use accounts that are not yours, then it is illegal, it is banned) and in case of doing something illegal, they don't warn you. a bit late lol

  33. lol , this is not a game where you can buff or nerf a pokemon like a OP champ in league of legend . If a pokemon is too strong for a tier he will go to the tier above and same for a weak pokemon he will go in the tier below.

People don't pick lower tiers cause they can pick OU in the same timeframe, its as simple as that. How do you fix that? Create different timewindows for OU and lower tiers. See? Also simple. is it good? No. Is it simple? Yes. Does it make sense? Yes. All I see is people using this thread as an excuse to boost rewards, and as a result we derailed to the point of, for the 500th time, claiming tours have bad rewards. Why? Because people don't care about lower tiers, they care about rewards more than that, and this isn't the thread for that. If you still cannot understand, let me rephrase it simply, what some of ppl's arguments in here hare. - All tiers have similar rewards, but people pick OU nevertheless. But wait, if we boost all rewards in all tiers, then we would have (magically): - All tiers have similar rewards, but fear not cause people would also pick other tiers nevertheless. Does it fix the issue? No, unless you only boost lower tiers, which they cant do as stated above. Is it good? Yes, it is. Does it make sense? No. Do I like it? No. Would I want better rewards? Yes, but its pointless to the thread in question so please for the love of God stop claiming it in here. If you want better rewards, go create yet another thread.

  36. Yes, 100% agree, now we are getting somewhere. But here is the thing. (Note I said "we would", meaning that its something that isnt happening, because of what I stated earlier) If they boost every reward in every tier, like plebs above are suggesting, then the same happens, full stop. If devs simply boost lower tiers rewards, then they would have to deal, not with 50 ppl that play lower tiers, but with 4000 that play OU and consider that boost unfair to them. That's something they shouldnt' do and won't do, for obvious purposes. Different timewindows is still the only fair way to fix this issue at some extent.

  41. It's simple. System works fine. People should play both tiers with equal motivation because their rewarding is similar. If they don't is because: a) UU and NU are much more restrictive than OU, in the sense you can use less mons there, which means plenty of players won't breed dedicated teams for those tiers. b) UU and NU are simply not interesting enough for the big masses. If you want to fix the issue, you try to make the tiers more interesting (Not exactly sure how). If you simply add bonus rewards for those tiers, all you are doing is delaying the issue. People would start playing again,because of the novelty, and then, gradually, you'd see exactly what happened before, less and less people signing.
