Sorry Bestfriends, but I think you're taking this far too personally. Dusty doesn't seem to have any ill intent in this at all. First of all, you can't just say "2020 is an election year". I don't know how to tell you this, but there are countries other than the US, I have no idea why you were expecting the election to specifically be on 2020. PokeMMO democracy works differently. If you had publicly stated that you were planning on having another set of elections in 2020 in advance, people would have felt more secure in the legitimacy of PokeMMO's democratic systems, and maybe this thread wouldn't have been made. However, stating that you were planning on the election happening in 2020 after a thread for a new election is posted feels like you're stalling for time. I don't think this was your intent, but you have to consider how people look at it. Frankly, the PokeMMO playerbase has changed quite a bit since your last election. You were elected before the massive surge of Chinese players entered the game, and the people who voted for you and the majority of the active playerbase in the game now are quite different. With that in mind, I think a new election is justified, and even reasonable. As the Chief Justice of the PokeMMO Supreme Court, I am publicly upholding the call for a reelection. If you don't trust Dusty, then I think a neutral party to run the election can easily be arranged.

I have to agree with Zymogen here. While @SirDusty made this thread, I was working on my Unova Gym Guide and documenting Hidden Powers for @RedactedColour's gym guides. When this post was made, I was shocked with the amount of attention that this thread was given. For a moment, I thought my election would come in 2020, but Dusty wants the election now. If this snap election does go through and I lose my Mayorship, then I still plan on working on the guide that I was making, but the Mayor Bestfriends YouTube channel is going to cease its operations and the council is going to be retired. Being the CEO of Roy Rogers Incorporated and becoming Mayor of PokeMMO have one thing that is different, a time limitation. Being a CEO of Roy Rogers Incorporated, I was able to pursue goals on a time that I was available, but as the Mayor of PokeMMO, there is a time limit to the goals and you have to act fast before an election comes up (so many ideas float by the council and so little time to pursue said ideas). Let me give you a general list of my accomplishments so far as the Mayor of PokeMMO: 1. Formed a Mayoral Council for consulting and various opinions on certain proposals. 2. Started the Mayor Bestfriends YouTube channel. Also, if you partook in the poll for the name and studio location of this channel, then I would like to thank you for making your voice heard! 3. When I was elected as Mayor, one of my goals were to lower down the poverty rate on PokeMMO (and when I was elected, the poverty rate was low, but thanks to the How to Make Money video on the Mayor Bestfriends YouTube channel, this rate was decreased much further and I am proud of the progress on this goal). 4. Constructed some guides on PokeMMO that may enhance the experiences of players looking for information: 5. Gave away pokemon that I don't need from the MayorBestfriends account (I made sure to level them to 20 before I gave them out due to the first level cap). 6. Translating transcripts for the Mayor Bestfriends YouTube channel for viewers that may not speak English. (Shoutout to the council members involved with helping me reach out to people from parts of the globe). If this post is an election troll thread, then I am going back to work in documenting gym sets for Unova and the Hidden Powers of pokemon in the Kanto and Hoenn gym sets. For me, all the points you made justify the reason why Bestfriends deserves to be mayor of PokeMMO. The fact that he is always serious means that he will never troll, fool around or make fun of new players asking for help. He is a honest and pure hearted person. Many years back, when I first saw him posting on forums being all serious and official, me and 99% of the community didn't take him seriously and were almost certain that he is another troll on the forums. In time, everyone realized that this wasn't the case. I don't believe a person will ever be able to significantly affect this games economy, community etc, be it Mayor or not. Almost everyone, me included, would realize that, stop trying and lose interest. But guess what, Bestfriends is not one of those people. He will NEVER stop caring about the community and putting effort to the role of Mayor. Because he is deadly SERIOUS and determined to exceed the expectations people have of him. Personally, I rather have Bestfriends as Mayor instead of some stuffed shirt person with huge ego bragging about it and not doing shit. I mean let's be real, who else would go everyday to starting towns giving out hundreds of Meowths and other pokemon to new players. An act that makes playerbase look good and game more enjoyable. To sum up, I voted for him before and I sure as hell will do it again. #BF2020

mayor is a community elected representative/position. i started the thread for bestfreinds election with no staff approval or involvement and it was run by the community. term length of the community representative is not a staff decision. whether we elect a new guy or not is not staffs business. if the community agrees with the 2 year term then great but we should actually think about it and make a decision and not let one guy make the decision for us just because he made a cool game and has good taste in lab coats.

While we're on the topic of speaking "without proof", I don't mean to alarm you, but you're the one bringing up Togekiss for a potential ban. The TC has already looked at Togekiss, made a discussion thread about it, and decided not to ban it. If you want serious discussion about banning it, it's on you to provide arguments and reasoning as to why it should be banned. So far, you haven't made much of an effort to explain why it should be banned, and basically everything you have said is stuff that's already been talked about before. If you seriously expect a good discussion on this, you need to start it yourself with some decent points. This isn't exactly a new issue, and we already know all the basic points/problems with togekiss, don't expect us to reiterate everything or change our minds just by saying "hey ban toge >: (". Additionally, I'm echoing gb's thoughts on Scraggy. I'd be interested in hearing why Gallade is so busted as well, but for now, I don't have much of an opinion on it.

Look, I once worked under Bestfriends as his wing man in the office. I can tell you damn straight, the Russians did not partner with Bestfriends to get him through the election. I don't see why we'd ever try and remove him from power as well, he's done everything he set out on. I believe Bestfriends might be the only one to be able to deliver a smooth Pokexit. Why would we disturb things now.

You really shouldn't be. If you look at how poorly your last thread was received, it should be very clear that there are many people that are not happy with how you do things. Did you? Haven't noticed. There are no empiric data that support this claim other than your own assumption. Unless you can legitimately prove this by showing a graph of average player's wealth over time and then pinpointing a spike around the time you uploaded that video, you have no right to spread such claims. When it comes to the video itself, a person only needs to watch a fraction for it to count as a view and even if somebody did watch the whole thing, it still doesn't mean that they actually used the information in it. The most widely used and the most profitable double account berry farming method is not even covered in it for example. Also, what Dusty said had no ill intent in it whatsoever, it wasn't meant personally, you just chose to take it personally.

I have some ideas that would make the experience of having a more fun secret base! 1- Add a pc to secret base! if I had a pc on the secret base, I would not even have to leave it. Pc could be sold at battle frontier. I would not mind paying 100k of bps or more. 2- Any way to rest/cure my pokemons! My secret base would also be my hunting area, it would be interesting to be able to heal my pokemons. 3- Add more ornaments for my secret base, just like you do with vanity items! 4- Would it be possible to remove the decoration limit? Or if it could increase, maybe paying? :D 5- I would like to have more than one secret base! Even though I need to pay for it. ;)

Uh, tons of people. I started a whole squad of people who just hang out in starting towns from time to time giving out free Pokemon, pokeballs, basic items, some money and a pair of teddy ears to hundreds of players. We just don't repeatedly brag about it and pretend every new player's success is dependent on those starter kits we gave them lol. There's tons of things he does that a lot of people do. He should either seize control of the government permanently by force or let a re-election happen. And maybe this time we'll have a mayor who takes critique seriously and as an opportunity to learn and grow instead of flat out ignoring them or taking everything personally (unbiased only when it's not about himself?). If even the slightest bit of humility's what you're looking for, you want a re-election. And BF, if you're reading this, I have nothing against you, you're a good person and I consider you a good friend, these aren't meant to be insulting but I won't hold back on my honest opinion just cause we're friends. @Bestfriends dont take this thread personally. This thread was more or less trying to make sure re-elections happen at some point, and to point out that it seemed overdue. I dont really think you can use the "too snappy" excuse as s legit since the first elections took place out of no where and you were very happy to accept the (VERY obviously rigged) results while ignoring those calling for a recount. You have nothing to worry about, if you and everyone else thinks you're a great mayor, im sure youll be easily re-elected. From what i understand this was just to make sure the title doesnt become "dictiator" instead of a community elected mayor. Never once did I see you or Kyu mention your term would last till 2020 aside from possibly some memes. This thread is just a discussion about possibly hosting a new election, and getting peoples thoughts since this seems to be a democracy. Everyone is aware that it started as a joke, but it certainly isn't treated as such. The only thing that came out of this meme is annoying polls used mainly to promote a certain youtube channel and constant attempts at taking credit where it's undue. He can keep on contributing to the community regardless of the title. I once ordered a sig from DrCraig. We came to a pretty fair deal...300k, delivered in three payments, and he'd give me all the bells and whistles. Animated text, self-rendering, bizarre colors, you name it. I gave him 100k up front to let him know I was good for the whole payment, and he began work on my masterpiece. After about a week, he had finished the Sig. It was marvelous. The problem was, I had blown every last penny I had on mystery boxes. I told him I could easily get the money, and that it'd just take me another day or two so I could scrape down all my alts. Well, days turned into weeks. My mystery box addiction was controlling my life at this point. Nearly every day, I got a whisper from the doc himself, inquiring politely about my funds. I'd come up with a different excuse every time...in fact, I'm actually rather proud of some of them. He'd always just reply the same way, though, regardless of how well crafted my excuse was. Dr: Gun, how's that money coming along? Still owe 200k, you know? Me: Haha yeah man I know. I actually almost have it all, I just need to sell a couple more UTs Dr: : ) : ) : ) Once, but just once, his tone changed. I told him that I had all the money caught up in a ponzi scheme, but that justice would be doled out swiftly, and then I'd pay him. He lashed out at me.
