  1. 1.This consist of using 1 Gothitelle with the ability frisk which tells you what item the Horde or poke has. The area i use for this is Route 9, in the grass right outside of challengers cave people can use sweet scent where you can find items such like silk scarf, black sludge, nugget, big nugget. What you want to go after are big nugget and nugget by using a Gothitelle you can see what items are in that horde and just try to thief them out. Gothitelle is an important for this farm since being lvl 100 it will not kill the Garbodor unless it crits. Other pokes use for thief are Scizor which learns roost, thief and is immune to toxic, sludge bomb and body slam is not very effective against him last, but not least Gengar which is immune to bodyslam and poison moves are not effective against him. The price for the items we are looking for are this: Nugget = 5k Big Nugget = 15k I find this way of farming as the best since everything else is nerfed to the ground. I hope this helps you guys in game since everyone is struggling for farming and it doesn't take that much time you just need to be patient. #PICKUPTHIEF2.0 2.If you like crafting you can also find pecha berries for the berry powder in route 120 from Mightyena same process. 3. you can farm life orb from Absol which will have to made on single encounter for this one you can find them in Unova outside of the Giant Chasm in the dark grass.

  4. I'm sick of seeing "if you guys ban X, then Y will be too strong." We're here to discuss if conk is too strong in THIS meta, which exists right now and we can observe it. Speculating about what the future might hold if something is banned is, well, speculative and unreliable. Does not matter for tiering

  7. All data is up-to-date as of the August 2018 Update. I will update accordingly if/when nerfs or buffs happen. Update Log FAQs Welcome! This is that guide where everytime the devs change the payouts I want to die a little as I have to rebattle HUNDREDS of NPC trainers for the nth time. Originally I made this guide when it was extremely profitable to rematch NPCs for cash but nerfs have happened so that's unfortunate, but it's still a decent income. Data Collected This is EVERY re-matchable NPC in the entire game across 3 regions. (minus the Elite Fours) Swimmers and tubers are NOT included though because they're poor and not worth it. Payouts differ slightly each time you re-battle an NPC. Example: Might pay 3,700 one time, but 3,820 another. These totals were gotten while using the AMULET COIN while REMATCHING after defeating all E4s. These are NOT the totals you'll get from battling 1st time or early game rematching. KANTO TOTAL CASH = $ 341,744 SEVII ISLES TOTAL CASH = $ 93,580 HOENN TOTAL CASH = $ 229,265 UNOVA TOTAL CASH = $ 681,390 But, obviously, not all trainers are worth battling. So I made this custom money run in the section below to help players efficiently farm money from trainer rematches in a reasonable amount of time. Money totals have been rounded up/down for a cleaner look and easier maths. Hope you enjoy! Custom Money Run The most profitable trainers to hit for the time spent! This run makes 420k in 2-3 hours. It's basically just the trainers that give 3.2k or more (and aren't too outta the way), plus the gyms. 8. So it begins. With a scary 140 base attack stat, solid bulk and access to a move pool which allows it to get past most of its checks, Conkeldurr has proven itself to be a massive threat in the OU tier in the past few months. But access to the new items and abilities seem to have pushed it a bit over the edge. While Leftovers is one of its most common items of choice, its amazing ability in Guts allows it to utilize a Flame Orb to instantly reach a whopping 316 attack after switching in once, Drain Punch helps it keep itself healthy while dealing serious damage against anything that takes a neutral hit, Mach Punch will let it hit first against opponents lacking priority thus somewhat alleviating its terrible speed and Bulk Up allows it to boost its already impressive damage and solid physical bulk to greater extents thus making it harder for physical attackers and faster frail Pokemon to revenge kill it. After this comes the issue of coverage, Thunder Punch being its most commonly used coverage move allows it to get the safest coverage against most things, Ice Punch is an alternative to this, allowing it to deal better with Dragon types and Gliscor, Stone Edge/Rock Slide are also great moves which allow it to hit Volcarona, Chandelure and everything in the air for massive damage, albeit their unreliable accuracy can fail the user at the worst moment, Payback has been a favorite for dealing with Reuniclus and now its newest check in Cofagrigus, dealing decent damage to either of them. Facade is a new, more effective way of dealing with Reuniclus albeit it leaves Conkeldurr open to any Ghost types that may wanna come in unless it forsakes the use of Bulk Up for an extra coverage move. Let it be known that while I've been referring to the Guts Bulk Up set all this time, the Sheer Force set is no joke either, allowing it to boost the damage from its elemental punches to near obscene levels without suffering the drawbacks that come from carrying a Life Orb and having perfectly unresisted coverage with Electric/Ice/Fighting moves. As for its drawbacks: Flame Orb makes it susceptible to hazard damage racking up, limiting its switch ins and set up options if Drain Punch doesn't heal it back enough as well as making it easier for it to get revenge killed. While it has a lot of coverage options, its limited amount of move slots mean a well prepared core can make Conk into a minor factor once its coverage is revealed. Many rain abusers (Barring Kabutops and Ferrothorn) make it really hard for it to make a significant impact at all. Its slow speed is a hindering factor in most matchups. We would like the community's input on whether Conkeldurr fits the criteria to be considered offensively Uber, that is:

  9. Its only a draw/lose if you try to wall it with pure stall. Anything like starmie or gliscor or anything else reasonable is a lose/win sometimes with two chances for the non-conkel to get it right. I guarantee we could just poll what type of teams everyone uses and if people were honest we'd get a really accurate correlation between people who play stall and people who think conk should be banned. Maybe play something with attacking moves. 105/95/65 on 45 base speed just isn't broken even with an effective 160 attack stat. Go build an offensive/balanced team with two fighting resists that aren't both weak to thunder or ice or rock and then play it for a few games. It might change your opinion of how easy conk is to deal with. I actually went through and saw if smogon ever banned something with <50 base speed and all I got was a denied vote on reniclus and a mega sableye ban that was because of its stalling. The worst part about this is if you guys got the small things right then at least it would be an interesting debate. But most of the people here seem to think guts is preferred over sheer force and that stone edge is better than rock slide (-2.5 power difference +10% accuracy). Anyway, I don't know what else to say. Ladder requirements were very helpful on the simulators to weed out people who weren't equipped to make influential decisions. Without scouting, a lot of stall players would find making them very difficult. Here, I don't really know what determines whose voice matters since the ranked ladder doesn't even go by elo correctly. The highest person on the ladder has a 53% winrrate just because they played a bunch of games. Then no one broke the 80% winrrate which is weird but the 70% winrates are a lot lower than the 50's and 60's just because of game number. Anywa,y that's a tangent. I just don't get how this ban ultimately gets decided. If its by this thread then that's not good.

  13. Moving up from UU to BL: Kingdra With the most recent update, Kingdra has gained Draco Meteor. This in combination with Focus Energy & Scope Lens allows it to, after 1 boost, constantly fire off massively powerful, no drawback Draco Meteors, making it almost impossible to effectively defensively answer in UU. Not only that, but with it's good bulk, speed, and typing, it can easily find chances to setup and run through teams without much support or work needed. As a result, it has been quickbanned from UU.

  15. what? you have no basis for accusing completely unnamed people of nefarious reasons for wanting to ban conk. I have no problems with discussing OU in general on this thread, but I was specifically talking about people who think Conk SHOULDNT be banned because "then X will happen." Not only is this pure speculation, but we also don't keep broken things in the tier on the off chance something else might become broken later. If Conk is busted and OP, it'll go. Then we'll sort out what happens after This was why I was personally against a Draco meteor complex ban - because it opens up the floodgates for suggestions like this. "Hey since pokemon X had a complex ban to keep it from being OP why not do the same thing with pokemon Y?" And I'm not criticizing you for saying this - you are totally right and logical to think this way. However, complex bans are a dangerous thing to abuse and, IMO, should only be reserved for extreme situations where a regular flat ban isn't adequate. So, my personal opinion is that conk should just be banned if its too strong, and there's no reason to complicate things with a complex ban (not to mention the weeks long discussion we'll have about WHAT to complex ban)

  19. Pachi, you really need to stop using this as an argument. Breaking Chansey/Blissey is not that dependent on Conkeldurr, we have so many Pokemon that destroy them in the viable OU metagame. It's much easier to come up with Pokemon to deal with Chansey and Blissey compared to deal with Conkeldurr, this is not even debatable. If you don't consider Conkeldurr to be bad enough to warrant a ban, that's fair enough and I can respect that but using this as an argument to me almost weakens the position to not ban Conkeldurr if the reason to not ban is Chansey/Blissey rather than it the fact Conkeldurr is actually manageable enough. Edit: Now, I'm not saying that was your only argument but don't use it at all.

  27. You should probably have a fighting resist that's also at least neutral to ice just because every good fightning mon gets ice punch. And a semi-bulky ground type is pretty standard too. Just any well balanced team that isn't pure stall should be able to deal with conk just fine. Really not hard to work thesei nto a team. Hippow, gliscor, starmie, volcarona, dragonite, salamence, gyarados, pelipper, skarmory, reuniclus. Really good mons. Then okay mons: gengar, roserade, metagross, gallade, scizor, swampert, chandelure. And then if you can't predict and want to specifically just wall things you still got cofagrigus and dusclops. You don't even have to plan for conkeldurr that much. Just some okay teambuilding is enough and then knowing how to not get outpredicted on every turn. Its stabs are still just 112 and 60 power even if you put them in bold to make them sound scary. Sheer force life orb is a 1.69x multiplier on the coverage moves which is better than a 1.5x guts multiplier on stab moves that don't need more buffing to get kills with a flame orb that takes a turn to activate. The guts set doesn't even use the flame orb, it uses leftovers and relies on tanking status then bulking up. So, you didn't really get the max attack right since it comes to 356. Anyway, its kind of exhausting having to do the numbers for both sides of the argument since people aren't even using the right sets to make arguments. It would be kind of like if I used counter chansey as a reason for wanting to ban it. Counter chansey kills a lot of its counters which is kind of funny but I'm not going to act like its the main set.

  29. I have no doubt on that. But I fear it will go for the opposite reason. Conk is the most balancing mon in the game. People admitted they want it banned simply because they can't deal with 50/50 situations. That is a terrible reason to ban something. Choice band slaking could be banned for the same reason, but that doesn't crush stall which is what people are really saying. They want their cookie cutter stall teams to work after scouting. They don't want someone who is better at the game to beat outpredict them and win which conk can do even after being scouted. Whoever predicts better should win a pokemon battle. Conk achieves that and nothing more, bottom line. Chansey on the other hand... I don't think I've ever seen the person with the chansey be better at prediction. It is a crutch. And that is mostly in places without a chronic scouting problem.

  40. Okay, I'll go deeper with the case of moves as well... You can safely assume, without any predictions or anything, a Conkeldurr has Drain Punch. Most likely 99% of serious Conkeldurrs will have Mach Punch as well. You are left with two slots populated with two of Facade, Bulk Up, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch for all mainstream builds Aaand for haters on specific switch-ins, there is Rock Slide, Payback, Superpower, Earthquake... etc. This is out of your control when playing against a Conkeldurr and you can't "learn" how to play around this by experience. It's pure luck assuming the opponents don't know each other and Conkeldurr doesn't change movesets or it's opponent change countering mons between battles accordingly. It's an instant-win gamble where either Conkelldur wins or it's a draw. When you learn the other 2 moves that specific Conkeldurr has it will probably be too late to do something about it and you are left without your Conkeldurr check and Conkeldurr is grinning in front of you waiting to sweep or revenge kill rest of your team accordingly. It won't even bother with using its coverage move on you, it will just silently go out of your way as if it's checked properly, knowing what you'll do when you see Conkeldurr next, and once it's out of Conkeldurr's way, rest of your team is a piece of cake. At next opportunity, if conk has properly matching move it's an easy prediction from there. Most of the time a Conkeldurr's team will cover with what Conkeldurr can't handle anyways. Insert any Intimidator here, You get a Bulk Up or two. You send a Gengar when you see a Conkeldurr! 252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Payback (50 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 288-340 (109.9 - 129.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO Oops! Conkeldurr should be around 50%~ hp assuming switch-ins are not done horribly wrong. You send a Reuniculus! 252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Facade (140 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Reuniclus: 229-270 (54.1 - 63.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (Conkeldurr outspeeds it on next turn) Oh, noes! Conkeldurr should be around 63%~ hp assuming switch-ins are not done horribly wrong. You have a Chandelure! 252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Payback (50 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Chandelure: 208-246 (79.6 - 94.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO Okay, you get to live for another day with 15%~ hp, a stealth rock weakness and without any recovery... effective counter confirmed. Conkeldurr smiles and switches out for now with 50%~ hp assuming switch-ins are not done horribly wrong which is enough to take burn damage for 4 turns. Feel free to use your other 5 mons until one get's KO'ed... The opponent also has 1 unusable mon now anyways, if it uses it and it's down, it's even better. This is your chance, kill it with Volcarona before it lays eggs! 252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 808-952 (259.8 - 306.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO 252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Facade (140 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 377-444 (121.2 - 142.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO 252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 269-317 (86.4 - 101.9%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO 252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Mach Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 81-96 (26 - 30.8%) seriously who really uses Volcarona as a blind check to this beast... it was mentioned anyways... Togekiss destroys Conkeldurr! 252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Thunder Punch vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Togekiss: 296-350 (79.1 - 93.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery it can still Roost, am I right? Honestly, this is closest you can get to a reliable switch-in for an unlucky moveset. Too bad thunder punch is most commonly used one. Either way, Conkeldurr switches out with 50%~ hp unless you are bold/foolish enough to assume it will Roost instead Air Slashing your face... let's not get into predictions here. Feed the Liquid Ooze to the monster! Tentacruel! 252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 252 Def Tentacruel: 390-460 (107.4 - 126.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO 252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Thunder Punch vs. 248 HP / 252 Def Tentacruel: 294-346 (80.9 - 95.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery 252+ Atk Guts Conkeldurr Mach Punch vs. 248 HP / 252 Def Tentacruel: 59-69 (16.2 - 19%) Just hope you are not unlucky enough to encounter a Conkeldurr trainer fed enough with Tentacruels to run Earthquake. Either way, there are 4 possible scenarios here with Thunder Punch assuming initial switch-ins are not done horribly wrong; Conekldurr calls it a day and switches out with 33%~ hp getting checked effectively for the second time. Leaving Tentacruel with 18%~ hp. Conkeldurr KO'es Tentacruel after Mach Punch and lives with 21%~ hp assuming initial switch-in was not done horribly wrong. Considering all the burns and sucked oozes. Conkeldurr Fails to KO after Mach punch, get's a scald on the face (22.7 - 26.8%) Conkeldurr gets KOed. Tentacruel belongs to pachima and has a Rocky Helmet instead of Black Sludge. Conkeldurr dies a horrible death. So... can a Conkeldurr do all of these? Simply no. Most of those examples are not even common scenarios. But when you get a Conkeldurr switched onto your face, and you want to switch out to a common "check", are you risking everything listed above? yes. And if that check is out of its way rest of your team will get heavily crippled or swept by it? yes. This is all only to explain the moveset part but as I mentioned before, the moveset is not the only concern for Conkeldurr right now.
