Hi, So it came to my knowledge that those players who come in 2nd / 3rd / 4th place in officials, do not get their prize unless they register for that particular round because the system is unable to recognize them as a participant. I suggest tweaking the system to let those players still obtain their prizes because shit happens that might make a player unable to stay online throughout the tournament. Under such instances it makes their effort useless because the biggest incentive to play officials right now is for the rewards. Thank you

That's cause I don't need to. What I do know is that sometimes I get criticized for some decisions I make (like playing OU last season against Guerinf or trading for the first pick this one). When I do that, I know the risks I'm taking. In the end they can turn out right or wrong, but if they go wrong, believe me, I will be the first to criticize myself and blame myself for learning from my mistakes and improving. That is why I don't need to enter into the trash talking game, I prefer to ignore them and only take into account some constructive criticism.

Considering the devs just skipped over gen 4 entirely, I think it's safe to assume we won't see the gen 4 region and we'll see the gen 4 starters somewhere else, similar to the gen 2 starters we have currently. Conkeldurr is nice, but it has some moveslot issues. Most of them don't run a coverage move for jellicent. Alright, since I'm a bit bored I'll explain how stocks work in real life. I'm aware any system remotely to this is not going be implemented for obvious reasons but I just want to explain a few things to Bestfriends for making this amount of effort for making a suggestion like this. The point of companies is to produce profit for their owners. Stocks are a way to split the ownership of a company. There are two kinds of stocks, the administrative stocks and stocks with a right for dividends (latter is the one that are most commonly on sale). The stock owners are not investors for the company - they are the owners of the company. Even though companies often sell their own stocks to people in order to get money for the company, the role of the people buying those stocks aren't "investors" but "owners" of the company. If a person owns one stock in a company that has a total of 100 stocks, that person owns 1 % of the company. This means this person is entitled to 1 % of the profits the company makes, since the point of companies is to make profit to its owners. (Bigger companies have billions of stocks but the math works the same way). To make profit, the company needs to gain more money than it has spent (during a year). This means companies often do not even make profit. At this point, no dividends are given to the owners because there is literally nothing to give for the owners. Meanwhile if the company makes profit it is its legal obligation to pay the stock owners the profit the company had made during the year. (If the majority of the stock owners decide the profit money should be invested in the company, then that's a possibility too but it's still the money of the stock owners and they're basically giving a loan to said company here.) The values of stocks do not rise or fall because of "success" a company had. Well, that is a bit factor to the value of stocks but still not the direct reason for it. The value from a stock becomes from the expectation value of how much this particular stock will give its owner dividends. If a company has made nice amount of profit for past years, then obviously their stock value is going to be high because people trust that company to do things correctly in order to get profit. However, things that aren't even concrete numbers can affect in the value of stocks. If there's a crisis in the country, the expectation value that the companies in that country will make as much profit as they did before isn't good and the stock will lose its value. Heck, even rumors can affect to the value of stocks. 2008 Apple's stocks plummeted 10% in 10 minutes when there was a rumor on the internet that its CEO had passed away. The company itself had done nothing wrong but only the expectation value that the said company will make less profit made the stock value plummet. So, in comparison to your suggestion: - Money does not come out of nowhere in real world - Stock owners are owners of the company, not investors - Dividends aren't an option, they are a legal obligation to the owners - Money again, does not come out of nowhere in the real world - The value of a stock doesn't just work the way you explained it - There aren't exactly a need of an "outside source" with the idea of stock exchange itself Therefor what you just suggested here is basically just a way to enforce gambling. If I pay money and x team wins, I get more money. If I pay money and the x team loses, I lose money. The parallel to "real life stocks" is unnecessary because that's not how this works. Peace.
