It was a fun journey with lots of memories I will always keep. Sayounara, MISC, BAIL, PRLS, NlCE, COPE, Optic they all gave me an amazing time. I've wanted to leave for a long time, but I couldn't get myself to it. I kept believing in this game, but I think I've finally come to the realization that I won't be able to play this game normally anymore. I'm sure the devs are working hard on what they think is the best, sadly they are putting their efforts in the wrong place. By all means, prove me wrong. I'd love to see that happen. For once I'd love to be wrong. I will be giving comps out ingame at some point. People know where to contact me and I'll hop on these forums from time to time and TS. ThinkNice has always been a player who gives back to the game at any chance he gets, PSL and his continued contributions to the council are just some of the things that stand out. He will always be a valued member of our community and the staff involved with the council wish him well in his studies. There will always be a place for him on the council if he wishes to return to the game at some point. Barrage will be filling the vacancy on the UU Council. I hope you guys do realize that you can simply spawn any team you want on the PTS using the debug codes. You can also warp to the battle frontier without having to go through the story, i think this tournament really shows the player's true potential in comp.

I don't think anyone can really say "Chansey belongs in UU" and mean it. It completely walls any special attacker in the tier and with Wish, Protect, Toxic and Seismic Toss, it can chip away at counters while providing the best support available for its teammates. It's either defensively or support "Uber" nearly by definition, and to me it seems pretty obvious that it's making offense (and balance to some extent) nearly impossible to run. It's inordinately good at being a wall and it covers its weaknesses like a boss. Sure, you could use Zangoose to beat it, but no one *does* use Zangoose, presumably because it has faults that keep it from being effective. Similarly, you could use Belly Drum Azu or Magmar, but if you take Toxic you're going to have to switch out and Aroma before attempting the sweep again. If you take 2 Seismic Tosses to the face with either, you're going to be in a bad place, especially with Belly Drum taking half of your health. The bottom line is that UU lacks options to effectively take Chansey out or punish it for the free turns it provides, and the few things that are good at dealing with it are bad at damaging other threats in the tier. In other words, pretty much everything that can beat Chansey isn't good outside of that purpose, or fails to beat it because it can just continually Wish/Protect and keep other teammates alive, making otherwise breakable walls pratically impossible to beat. Remember the (short) discussion about Tyranitar in OU? The reason we kept it banned post update is because you could use Hitmontop, Breloom or some other fighting type to beat it, but that pokemon would essentially be dead weight against the rest of the metagame. The same logic fits Chansey pretty well. Given that almost everyone thinks we should ban it.. why haven't we banned it yet?

meh, all the walrein renders suck, imo. There was one good one that really fit into your wanted theme of "badass" (here), but it was a corner piece and couldn't figure out how to turn it into a worthwhile sig. So I took this chance to use my dust brushes to make snow. Interestingly, the snow made the text 10x more difficult to read, so I had to do some stuff to make the text pop out more. I hope you like the sig. in my honest opinion, I think this is the worst one of the 4 in this thread so far... Not that I didn't try as much (in fact this one took longer ;-; ), but the render pool for walrein is really small and not very good... I also couldn't figure out how to make an icy effect (didn't look up a tutorial for it yet, was seeing if I could do it on my own). Furthermore, I think that adding in the "R.I.P. GWOP" made it a bit more cluttered than I like... I may come back to this one to edit the text to include an icy effect, after I figure out how to do it.

UU is in a bit of a conundrum. We have 12 bans to Borderline and multiple requests to ban Chansey, which many believe to be the biggest problem today. Our meta is currently in a bit of tight pickle considering it can't add or subtract any pokemon based on usage, due to the suspect testing in OU. Despite all of this though, we even made a couple drastic additions by bringing back down Umbreon, Alakazam, Charizard, Slowking, Scizor, and Machamp (moved back to BL). Nevertheless, I decided to outline a few changes that I feel would be beneficial for the tier to take a step forward. Proposed Changes to the PokeMMO Underused Tier: 1. Ban Chansey to Borderline Chansey is clearly Uber under the defensive characteristic. It walls all special attackers, mostly because we lack a reliable Fighting special-attack, and it can stall out many UU Walls with Wish + Protect + Seismic Toss + Toxic. It can also hurt many Choice Band users by simply using Protect to scout the incoming move. While this isn't necessarily a reason to ban it, it is another reason supporting its ability to stall out your opponent. Pros: Special Attackers will become more viable without Chansey, the meta will no longer revolve around Chansey, other play-styles can flourish without the dominance of Chansey and stall Cons: Special Attackers like Alakazam may become too powerful and a reliance on Umbreon might develop 2. Suspect Test Alakazam when Chansey is Banned Without Chansey, I feel that Alakazam would prove to be a problem in UU. While this is simply an assumption, I would hope that an immediate suspect test would be made to figure out if this thing is a problem. While Umbreon is a good counter, I would hate to see an Umbreon on 70% of teams just to stop a possible Alakazam threat. There are multiple things that can check Alakazam outright, but the threat of an unknown Hidden Power could foil those plans. Pros: Alakazam has the speed and power to plow through a team without a reliable special wall, making it potentially Uber by the Offensive Characteristic there aren't many options to switch in on Zam, Alakazam will become one hell of a revenge killer Cons: We have answers in UU for Alakazam, namely Priority attacks, steel-types (if no HP Fire), and dark-types (if no Signal Beam), it's also pretty frail and can't switch in on an attack itself 3. Players should begin to embrace the offensive approach Underused has an amazing array of offensive threats, from Swellow to Manectric to CM Slowking to SD Zangoose to Flail Kingler, but unfortunately players are just using the same old stall team. Whether this is because of how good Chansey is or whether it's just a comfortable tactic, a very effective play-style is being passed up for another. In my assessment, once players begin to shake up the meta for themselves there could be some real diversity developing. Players should use their own creativity rather than copying the team that won the previous UU Official. Addendum: We're all special snowflakes. Even that cute li'l brown boy Senile.
