1. I liked the 6v6 UU tournament Archinix hosted very much, it's far more enjoyable than 4v4 IMO, should be a monthly thing. It's not as much rock, paper and scissors anymore and you see that the 'good players' also usually get far in 6v6, unlike in 4v4 where you get screwd by RNG easier. Double Elim would be great but I understand that it would take a lot more dedication (as in better communication and more refs), so I could see that it would take more time before we get that. There is that something about not seeing Snorlax and Blissey that makes my heart pump in joy, UU4Life.
ps: ban amanu
4. Warning: lame ms paint skills ahead.

I think adding the time when you got the egg will help those with lots of eggs with organizing their inventory and PC. I sometimes get confused on which eggs to bring out and some new eggs get mixed on my party of almost hatching eggs when getting the egg from the old man with a full party. I have to store one and store the new egg again but sometimes i mix up the eggs and precious steps are wasted on the new egg instead of the almost hatching egg that was left behind in the PC. *sorry for lame description, class is starting QQ

  7. Again, I'll just cut to it. No fancy lingo. Trainer Tower. Enter, begin a battle in the Tier you want (50s: 4v4/6v6 ; 100s: 4v4/6v6), commence battle upstairs. When you win, you immediately face a new opponent. You continue battling until you lose. At that point you're escorted out of the floor with extreme prejudice (or teleported out, whatever). If you win a battle, you get 1 BP (Battle Point). If you win 5 battles in a row, you get an additional 4 BP (1 for winning + 4 extra for streak = 5 BP on 5th Battle). If you lose a battle, you get a cooldown of 4 hours before you can re-enter Trainer Tower. Might as well keep it "balanced" right? Randomly, you may encounter a Gym Leader or Elite 4 member or your Rival (maybe a character from a different Region, wynaut). If you beat them, you get a small chance (25%?) to be given a random TM. Otherwise they give you 5 BP. You can then redeem your BP for rare items such as Rare Candies, TMs, Customizable Items, or maybe even a Pokemon or two. Example: 50 BP - 1 Rare Candy 150 BP - TM X or X or X or X or X 250 BP - Customizable Hat 350 BP - Rare Items (Choice Band/Upgraded Bicycle/MC Hammer Pants)* * Don't go nuts over my prize cost listed. 350 BP wouldn't be that much. Just win roughly 39-40 battles in a row and you have enough.

  9. To be perfectly honest, I believe EV training is fine how it is, I would love to eventually see it even harder for the following reasons; Everything is easily found in one spot, may it be day or night. Levels, just level the Pokemon you are training up at the time so it can kill them, then use berries to reduce uneeded EVs, which cost $1,000 anyways, which is easily gotten. Why make things more of a convenience to players? And yes, I in fact do EV train. That is only my opinion, though.

  10. Unofficial By Breeder So, there's a lot of theories about how the universe was created, about how the legendaries and their beginnings, why they exist, etc. But, there has always been one flaw that I have seen with these theories. Arceus came out of an egg. Not just any egg, but an egg from nowhere. So, being the guy I was, I decided to go ahead and try to ask around, see what other people thought. I'm from Hoenn myself, but at this time I was living in Viridian city, Kanto. I have 4 pokemon, I've never really had the need for any more quite honestly. Being a resident of Hoenn, my majority on my team were indeed from there. My highest leveled, and favorite, pokemon is my Slaking, who is level 44. He was a level 1 slakoth when I got him about 2 years prior. He is the only relevant pokemon to this story, and quite honestly the only pokemon I remember from that time. I'm pretty sure I had a shroomish. I can't really remember, they are all long passed. Whether it was instinct or something greater, I don't know. But, I decided to visit Gary 'Blue-Green' Oak, the local gym leader, and the strongest gym leader in all of Kanto. While he himself had no clue about the stories (and was quite angry at the fact that I just waltzed into his gym and didn't bother fighting him), he did refer me to his grandfather, Professor Samuel Oak. It took some time for me to remember exactly who that was, as the most prominent professor at this time was Professor Rowan, and where I am from the professor was Birch, but after a few seconds I remembered that Samuel Oak was actually at one point the leading researcher on all of pokemon. Oak lived in Pallet at the time, with his wife who was about 5 years younger than he. I found his wife initially and asked her about what she thought on the origin story. She said that she believed that Arceus was so powerful, it simply "willed itself into existence". I wasn't satisfied. She directed me towards Samuel, who was in an old abandoned hollow building to the southwest of their house. Before I left, Ms. Oak asked me if I was going on some sort of expedition. I told her possibly. She told me to find her son, a kid who I never personally found, I think his name was ray. Rex, possibly. She said he was missing for a long time. I told her I'd do my best. I really did, too. I entered the building, and it was almost sad. Samuel was looking around at all the equipment, fiddling with it. From what I understood, this place had been his lab at some point in the distant past. It's where that Rex kid got his first pokemon, and where he proceeded to go on an adventure. I think I'd heard of him at some point, I can't remember. Apparently he took down a criminal syndicate? Samuel was kind enough, but he was expressing symptoms of heavy Alzheimer's. He was having trouble recollecting anything, even the very conversation we were having. I thought that I would be disappointed at this place, because there was no way he could remember anything about the origin of Arceus, but I was surprisingly mistaken. Samuel was able to explain that, according to Professor Rowan, Arceus is able to be summoned. The place of summoning is very specific, though. It was in the Sinnoh region. I didn't have the money to get to Sinnoh, nor was I dedicated enough to go, but it was interesting to hear. Rowan was, at the time, living in Johto, which was not nearly as far as Sinnoh. I decided to go to Johto, as it was a pretty quick journey from Viridian City. I considered what pokemon to bring, and decided on Slaking, as he was the most able bodied pokemon I had at the time. It took me 5 days to get to Johto, as I didn't have the correct badges to surf, and I lacked swimming knowledge. Also, there were rumors of Gyarados in the water, and I didn't want to deal with that while swimming. I heard that Rowan adopted Samuel's radio show in Goldenrod City, so that's where I naturally decided to go. Luckily for me, there was a biker who was willing to give me a ride to Goldenrod city. Not just any biker, though. It was the current champion of the Indigo Pokemon League. His name was Yell, but most people called him Yellow, because of the common characteristic of champions being named after colors and gems. I chatted with him, and he gave me an egg. He told me I'd appreciate it. I would later come to find out that in this egg was a shiny slakoth, that Yellow had bred himself. He told me he had no use for it, as he was considering quitting pokemon all together. The egg didn't hatch for a little over 4 years, so I didn't know this until much after this journey. I'll cut out some other little bits, as they are not quite as interesting. I did, however, stop a robbery with my egg, but that's a story for another day. Outside of the Goldenrod radio station was Rowan. Apparently, Samuel was able to get his shit together for long enough to call Rowan and let him know that someone was coming to talk to him. Rowan and I chatted about the creation of Arceus, as mythology was his area of expertise. He told me that I was not the first to question Arceus' creation, as he too had pondered it. He decided to take a break from his radio show for a couple of weeks so that we could visit a place that he stated would have the answer. Rowan flew us out to a strange region. I don't know the name of it, and no one I know or knew knows the name either. I would ask Rowan, but I cannot, and you know precisely why if you keep up with the times. This region held no residents from what I saw, but I never noticed any towns, either. Rowan stated he had come here several times before, and that he had once seen a town of not people, but pokemon, who traded and spoke in a strange language. We came across several pokemon that spoke what appeared to be languages, all of which would dodge any pokeballs thrown at them. There was pokemon here you would not believe, and things that made no sense. Rowan noticed that many of these pokemon appeared to be evolutions of known pokemon, but as before, that is a topic for another day. We found the place he was looking for. He dubbed it "Mt. Sun" as a joke on Mt. Moon in Kanto. The cave was huge with an open top, and it was bright as could be at all times. At the top of the mountain were words inscribed in a language similar to Unown, but different. It was pretty simple to translate, as, like unown, they were very similar to our alphabet. The words on it, I cannot tell, both for my lack of remembering and for my lack of wanting to make anyone go crazy. The words described things about the world, and everything that we know. But, it also tells of the future, and even farther in the past. Basically, what I'm trying to tell you is, there are more legendaries out there, of which have a purpose just like the others. Some legendaries are impossible to reach any time within the next 500 years, while others... Well, others are literally under your feet. Arceus should not be considered god. He is not. Nor is he the son of god. The inscriptions didn't even know the full story. But, they do explain where Arceus' egg came from. Having heard everything thus far, would it surprise you to hear that space itself is a pokemon? I left slaking there. That's where he requested to stay. How I knew that, I really don't know. Rowan told me about how he had read that 100 times, and it all still baffles him. I left that strange region, and have tried to go back. The whole world is mapped today, yet that mysterious place is not on any maps. My name? It's irrelevant. All that matters is that you know that there is always more than meets the eye. You don't have to believe this story. It is unofficial, after all. With love, The Regionless Professor Note from the Author: If you think this story sucks huge piles of donkey shit, let me know. I can delete it. That's why you have that option on posts. This story is inspired by my best shiny pokemon, an adamant slakoth. I had forgotten about shiny pokemon when I caught it, so I made up a huge story about how I got it from travelling to the "Synic" region. I made this story up when I was really young, mind you. I also liked the idea of Professor Oak being senile. I don't know, he always seemed like he had Alzheimer's when he asked what his grandson's name was, so I was inspired by that. There was a lot of interesting things for you to fill in the blanks on in this story, and I would technically count it as an origin story for Arceus or, at least, my shiny slakoth. Sorry for any spelling errors I looked up any words I was unsure on. Anyways, I love the stories so far. Great thread Oluthon!

  14. This is a personal theme. That saying, I don't take requests, and I don't care if I skid. This is made to whatever makes my eyes feel better. If I like something off of one client, I'll take it and put it on my own (edited a little, of course). You can download version Beta 0.8 if you want, but I'll be taking it further the more I learn how to mod this stuff. ///This was orriginally planning to be a Fork off of AngryPyro's GUI theme. Credit for the basic starting design goes to him; I plan on changing most of it all./// Added a new login background. {{Updated v1: Removed background to the Login GUI.}}

Trainer card changed.

Battling. {{Update v1.1: The [Bag] button has my mouse over it.}}

Honestly, out of everything so far, this one took the longest. Added eeveelutions to move types.

Popups are now darker.

New GUI's, including chat and hotbarkey edits.

How to install: 1. Download the .zip 2. Drag&Drop contents of said .zip to: ..PokeMMO\data\themes 3. Change your theme to "Day 'n Night" in the settings 4. Reset your client; some things won't update until you do. Download here. Password: Jolteon Sorry, new to this uploading stuff. If I'm breaking any rules, just say it. Update v1.1.5: Bug fix: Fixed text not showing properly, or not showing at all. It was coming off the side of the text box; fixed by adding 6 pixels to the min hight for the text field in chat-bubbles. Update v1.1: Edited buttons while battling. They are now transparent. Update Release v1: Edited Login GUI. Changed tints of most GUI's. Popups are now darker. Selected items are now what I wanted them to be. Update b0.9: Changed the font color on the login bg. Update b0.8.5: Fixed download link - I feel bad for whoever clicked it and was asked if they wanted to delete the file or not. Update b0.8: Official Release. Current bugs: -All of the font is messed up, leaving the text sort of cut-off, and the close buttons display a little farther down then where you should click. If this has happened to you, then you're stupid. You need to reset your client; just exit out of it and start it up again. -Sometimes, although rarely, this gui can cause your game to not load any graphics at all. You'll be walking on a white screen. Though, this is very rare; it only happens when certain settings in the graphical options are met. Even then, it's hard to get. -You cannot see what you highlight in battle using the arrow keys. Since I always use the mouse (And spam the A button to select what I did the past battle), this is a bug that I will not fix unless others /need/ it back.

    Dual Type Coverage

    This is a list of neutral type coverage various combinations of offensive moves have. Within each box, there is every possible duo type combination (Grass/Water, Fire/Dragon, etc.; No trios are listed as of yet. Or probably ever.), as well as each individual type, and which fully evolved pokemon (Scyther is the exception) resist the combination of types or the single type. For example, since Magneton resists both Ice and Electric, it is listed in the Ice/Electric and Electric/Ice boxes. OU/BL pokemon are green, UU pokemon are blue. 16. In celebration of Independence Day which, upon reflection, is the day we became free from the burden of having to be directly associated with 'Murica, because we are just too upper class for that nonsense. No hate speech. Only non-love speech. Celebrate with a cup of tea and a crumpet, you fine tossers.

    Stopwatch in the Clock

    There are a few time based activities in PokeMMO now and I think upgrading the existing clock would be a nice temporary convenience while we await whatever PokeGear gadget will come. Something simple that has Run/Pause/Clear.

    Stopwatch in the Clock

    Why would I use a third party app stopwatch over a browser stopwatch or a physical one? The point is I don't think any of them should be used. If you think this game discourages adding something to remove/change it later, I could point out a few examples. I don't know why "it will be changed in the future" is such a discouraging reason. PokeGear could be a long way off and it might replace the need for several things in the future. You can't say it's a waste of resources when you made something similar with a more detailed GUI. Besides, the clock may even turn into the PokeGear in the future, not just the stopwatch portion. How do we always know the exact time? I don't see my character wearing a watch. As little UI conveniences are added, a skeleton of the PokeGear is being developed without anyone even noticing!

    Stopwatch in the Clock

    It wouldn't be removed, it would be moved. Creating the function now would just save time in the future. I don't know why you are assuming that these apps are solving my problem, because they certainly do not. Neither of them are even a stopwatch and simply a 10 minute alarm. There is a difference. I don't want to have 10 windows open when playing PokeMMO. It's too simple of a function (as you should know after coding something similar). EDIT: Holy crap. The default alarm on the first one is an old alarm clock. Who the fuck thought that was a good idea?

  23. That's the actual effect of those abilities on eggs. I posted the links too. Also telling me that a certain CM told you something without offering proof doesn't help you at all. Plus you skipped over the part where I stated that they will address the issue with the number of steps in a later update. Sorry, but I see no reason to implement Magma Armor and Flame body this way when the original way was more balanced.

  24. That's quite the kick in the teeth. I'd rather it be implemented normally ,though I like that you've gone in depth with it.

  27. It was a very jolly night, the night i found out My second favorite pokemon castform was in the game. I hunted for hours til i got a modest good iv'd castform. And that night i cuddled with my Castform more that I usually would have. I dont know why maybe it was because i felt something wasnt right, im not sure, but i decided to call the castform Castform Forever. The Next day i awoke to find my castform brutally murdered and a Illuminise standing in its place my life was never the same since that day RIP CASTFORM

  33. Today in the EV Training Guide thread a player pointed me that a place haven't 100% of pokémons with a determinate EV. I think the spawn has changed after the last update and I want to suggest the change in this place and another ones too: Viridian Forest Tangela is the only pokémon with 100% encounter rate to train EV in defense and a new option could be good, like weaks Metapods and Kakunas in Viridian Forest, in these marked spots:

I don't know if is possible, but if is, could be great. To make more difficult, maybe during Night Time? Mt. Moon Another option to EV training in defense could be Geodudes in a certain part of Mt Moon:

Again, I don't know if it is possible, but Paras have two tunnels, so Geodudes could have one of them. Summit Path 2F For EV training in Defense lacks a weak pokémon with 100% encounter rate and for EV training in Attack lacks a stronger pokémon, so maybe the Geodudes could be removed of this part of Mt Ember:

I am pretty sure before the update this place hadn't Geodudes, I don't know if was intentional, but it is a good place to train EV.

  37. As long as it's around 30 seconds, it's fine. Give or take 5-10 seconds roughly etc. As long as you feel that it could be used as Pokemon battle music (fast paced, energetic etc.) and that it 'evokes the mood' of a Pokemon battle, it's fine. Just to clarify - It can not be a remix/cover, it must be an original work.

  40. So here is my try at the final evolution of Fennekin. I think Fennekins line will be Fire/Psychic types, so I put the purple markings to kind of represent that. I based the evolution on a Fennec Fox and a Maned Wolf, which is another desert/grassland canine.
