I see what you're going for, and I kind of like it, but there are only 4 ways out of 5 city, it's only called that temporarily because it's the 5th town you go to on the map.

Noted :) Great point, which is why I agree to the next thing you said: In this case, Silver wouldn't be FROM the Rakeo region, and he wouldn't have to be. Sero's father was working under Giovanni, so naturally as children they could meet like that when Giovanni visits. Aside from Silver being from Rakeo, that sounds great. So instead of them just meeting by chance after Sero is working for Giovanni to steal Gym Leader Pokemon, he could run into Silver again with orders from Silver's own father to retrieve his Pokemon (Can you tell me anything about him having 4th gen pokemon? I didn't play all the way through HGSS, only the originals). That's when they can have some kind of reunion, Sero can feel betrayed by Giovanni by making him steal from his son, and they can decide to take down Team Rocket together. Instead, that's when Sero decides to take it OVER after cryogenic freezing the other two. That could be when Sero offers Silver power within, but Silver declines, and thus ends up frozen too. These are great ideas Pryce, Thank you for helping chip in. Once we can sort out some of these smaller issues I can run up another rough draft of this in an order that makes a little more sense and we can make this story a bit more full based around Sero's world. I mean, let's face it, the player is boring :D

I'm sure Seroman would be flattered I used his name for the antagonist. If not, well then sorry man ;D Anyways, this is what I've been working on for the past hour or so. This isn't set-in-stone, but would be a great premise for the conflict in this game. Also, all names of places aren't chosen yet. Five City is only called Five City because it's the fifth town you visit and it's a city. It's also surrounded by four routes so it could play a big role in the game. While reading this, make note of anything you think may need changing and let me know what you think needs changing. This was a rough draft anyways :) SERO'S CHILDHOOD His goal is to rule over the pokemon world by gaining Mew's abilities and becoming the first human to receive pokemon powers. As a child, Sero had only one friend, 5 City's future Gym Leader. His father was the mayor of Five City and was caught dealing with Giovanni of Team Rocket and was fired. The other kids picked on him and because of that, he had a tendency to become angry. When he was 8 he realized he had telekinetic abilities like Sabrina of Kanto. Psychic is his pokemon type. GROWING UP He and his friend grew up having practice battles. His father, the former mayor, went underground and started up a regional Team Rocket in the Rakeo region(?). The boy drew more and more away from humans and after losing a battle to his best friend and using his psychic powers against him, he lost his only friend. His Gengar becomes his best friend and leader of his team. He eventually joins his father's Local Team Rocket. MODERN DAY By the time he's grown and is approximately 5 years older than the player, Sero is his father's advisor. Team Rocket has been wiped out in the Kanto and Johto regions, and Giovanni steps in and takes control of his father's cause. Giovanni has had encounters with Mewtwo in the past and is now set on finding out what makes a Pokemon have special abilities. His lead professors from Kanto and Johto move to Rakeo and begin studying early Pokemon such as Archen and Aerodacyl and the first artificial Pokemon, Porygon. Scientists have said that after Mews lived on the planet, other pokemon started showing up and the evolutionary process shows humans evolved from the original pokemon. Giovanni's goal is to reintroduce whatever is missing from Human DNA back into the evolutionary chain and evolve humans to the next level. Sero works for Giovanni, effectively stealing rare pokemon from Gym Leaders and other powerful trainers for the research. Sero meets Silver and the two of them connect. They both loathe their fathers and forcefully take over the operation. Sero's psychic abilities allow him to dethrone Giovanni and his father by locking them away inside a cryogenic chamber. Silver has become slightly kinder since Gold and Silver, and sees Sero as a threat. Sero has a falling out with Silver and eventually freezes him too, and threatens to do the same to any of the scientists working for Team Rocket should they disobey him. He has them continue the research and finds Dr. Akihabara, the creator of PORYGON has come forward to help with his findings. Akihabara reveals he had worked with Dr. Fuji, Mewtwo's creator. Akihabara tells Sero he's going about it all wrong and must study the POKERUS instead to find his answers. After mutating the POKERUS virus and making Sero it's first human host, Sero starts to show signs of increased ability. His telekinesis has gained strength and he decides to Annex Five City. Nobody can come or because of a blockade(maybe? needs work) and has gained the ability to posess other humans(like astral projection but posession). Pokemon are not affected. Sero uses his old friend, the leader of 5 city's Gym, to gain the trust of all the residents of 5 City and hand over their pokemon for safe keeping by telling them they would all be stolen by Team Rocket otherwise. The pokemon they stole are brought to the new Team Rocket Headquarters, a skyscraper they took control of (as his father's headquarters was underground). With nobody left to resist him, Sero sends out a team of specialized Rocket Officers to search for Jirachi because there have been rumors it has been seen in the Verduous Forest. He plans to use Jirachi to skip the Scientific research and wish for Mew's abilities. The officers return empty-handed and Sero continues his search. In the meantime, Sero has his scientists create a new Pokeball able to capture humans. It's technically a war crime in the Pokemon world, but with his new and improved telekinesis nobody can stop him, he thinks. LATER Later in the game, the player is captured inside a pokeball. They are released in front of Sero, as he explains his plan of domination. Sero becomes distracted because Silver has been unfrozen by his Tylphlosion. Silver brought with him Karin of Johto's Elite Four, and she temporarily stops him, long enough for the player to escape into five City.

That because of the projects I've made, then there's the whole getting drunk on TS every morning for a while back there... hahaha

Pretty much all outdoors tiles were changed in the patches shown courtesy of the PokeMMO Graphics Patch by Darkshade's team. The music is a seperate patch is the DS Trainers patch (which includes an updated version of Red in DS style until PokeMMO's customization supports trainer backsprites)

Yeah, it's the sea. Here's a map of the region for reference EDIT: (Although the sea isn't on that part of the map, it can be changed. I think I may want to make Route 2 bigger as well) The starting town is the small red dot on the second to farthest isle from the right (you can see the second town's railway). EDIT 2: Definitely need to make the second route a lot bigger now that I'm seeing the size comparison of route 1 to route 2 xD

For Route 1, we chose our favorite starting route randoms and threw in some natural choices (like Magikarp and Goldeen in the water). Any legitimate opinions on the encounters for Route 2?
